1. Eat less calories

Too much sodium can cause water retention, which makes you look heavier. In fact, the average American consumes close to 10 times more sodium than recommended. 6. Get moving

7. Take supplements

Supplements can play a role in losing weight. For example, taking a multivitamin can help fill in nutritional gaps. Vitamin D and fish oil can also help boost metabolism.
