How I Beat Covid Hair Loss with Red Light Therapy

By Jane Smith

I never thought I would lose my hair. I always had thick, shiny, and healthy locks that I loved to style and show off. But then Covid-19 happened.

I was one of the unlucky ones who got infected and had to spend two weeks in the hospital. It was the most terrifying and painful experience of my life. I was so relieved when I finally recovered and was able to go home.

But then I noticed something strange. Every time I showered or brushed my hair, I saw clumps of hair falling out. My pillow was covered with strands of hair every morning. My scalp became visible in some areas. I was horrified.

I learned that this was a common side effect of Covid-19, caused by a condition called telogen effluvium (TE). TE is a temporary form of hair loss that occurs when your body undergoes a severe stress, such as illness, surgery, trauma, or emotional shock. This stress triggers a large number of hair follicles to enter the resting phase (telogen) prematurely, and then fall out after a few months.

The good news was that TE was not permanent, and my hair would grow back eventually. The bad news was that it could take up to a year for that to happen. I didn’t want to wait that long. I wanted my hair back as soon as possible.

I tried everything I could think of to speed up the process. I ate a healthy diet, drank lots of water, took supplements, massaged my scalp, used gentle products, and avoided heat styling. Nothing seemed to work. I felt hopeless and depressed.

Then I discovered something that changed everything: red light therapy (RLT).

RLT is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level red or near-infrared light to stimulate cellular activity and healing. RLT has been proven by multiple studies to have various benefits for skin health, wound healing, pain relief, inflammation reduction, and more.

One of the most impressive benefits of RLT is its ability to promote hair growth in people with various forms of hair loss, including TE. RLT works by penetrating the scalp and reaching the hair follicles. There, it stimulates the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy molecule that fuels cellular functions. ATP increases the activity of the cells that produce hair (keratinocytes) and prolongs the growth phase (anagen) of the hair cycle. RLT also increases blood flow and oxygen delivery to the scalp, which nourishes the hair follicles and prevents them from shrinking or dying.

I decided to give RLT a try. I bought a red light therapy cap online that fit over my head and delivered the optimal wavelength and intensity of light for hair growth. I wore it for 15 minutes every other day, while relaxing on my couch or reading a book.

The results were amazing.

After just two months of using RLT, I noticed a significant difference in my hair. It stopped falling out as much and started growing back faster and thicker. My scalp became less visible and more covered with new hairs. My hair looked healthier and shinier than ever before.

I was overjoyed.

RLT saved my hair and restored my confidence. It was the best thing I ever did for myself after recovering from Covid-19. If you’re suffering from Covid hair loss or any other type of hair loss, I highly recommend you try RLT too. It’s safe, painless, easy to use, and effective.

Trust me, you won’t regret it.
