Free Weekly Reading #39 Mirror Dragon Tarot
Reading for 9-7 thru 9-13-20

The Center card this week is the Princess of Pentacles.
In each suit the four court cards represent our implementation of the knowledge gained by traveling the path of that suit. For the Pentacles, our Earth symbol, this is about resources; time, energy, money and our physical bodies. The numerical cards show us ways in which we can gain knowledge about each suit and as the first step of putting that knowledge to work in our lives, the princesses find their courage and strength in their innocence. They’re just starting out and have no experience so they don’t have any preconceived ideas about how this journey will look. They stand open and willing to learn, unconcerned about how they look or whether they’re “doing it right” because that story hasn’t been written yet. As the center card this week, the Princess of Pentacles asks us to focus our attention on the physical. With open minds we’re able to see new realities and we’re ready to step in and work with information, options and directions we haven’t experienced or considered before. If some elements of the work that we’ve become accustomed to have fallen apart or broken or just no longer do what we need them to do, now is a good time to look for new options. If the job you’re in doesn’t pay enough to meet your emotional or creative needs or has simply become so stale or hostile that it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning, begin a search for another way to put your energy towards making your life tenable. If your job has disappeared, like SO many have recently, perhaps it’s time to look at a different career path. Maybe this is a chance to look at what you’d like to do for income rather than what you have to do.
The West card this week is the 8 of Wands.
As the image on the card shows, there is fiery energy flowing in all directions and, as fire tends to do, it moves fast. This can have a couple of different effects. With the creative force of fire we often have difficulty getting a hold of it and working it down into bit and byte sized pieces for our brains to collate and work with. It can be a real challenge to direct the flow into a “sensible” formula. Creativity, by definition, falls outside the lines and defies logical interpretation. So, one thing that can happen is confusion, a lack of concrete formulas and goals and all the frustration that comes with it. Another effect can be the feeling of an almost irresistible drive to burn off old, static, staid and stale ways of working. This can cause anxiety if we’re not in a position to make the big changes we want to make. We can feel the need to break out of the “prison” old ideas and charge into new directions without every bit of pertinent information. Sometimes recklessness is devastating, but sometimes it is necessary to push through pre existing boundaries.
The East card is the Ace of Pentacles.
The Aces of the suits represent their energy in its purest form and with the suit of Pentacles we look at our needs for grounding, producing and pulling ideas from thought forms into the realm of physical reality. So it seems that all the fiery, creative juices of the Wands in motion, combined with the open acceptance of the innocent princess, work to refine our passions into a particular "golden nugget" of real results. With 2 of the cards this week being from the Pentacles the chances of being able to remain grounded and calm while the energy around us flies in any and all directions are good and the excitement of change keeps us motivated. The cool part is our chance to discover that golden nugget of workable reality within the stream-of-consciousness creative process. Plus the Earthy solidity of the Pentacles will help us keep at least one foot on the ground.
In conclusion;
This week we get the chance to work our creative ideas and desire for growth into an actuality, a real outcome. Though the energy is still very fluid and changeable we find the wherewithal to keep our heads and push the flow towards a positive solution. There may still be fear or trepidation about stepping out of the familiar, however we also have a deep desire to press the boundaries out far enough to get a different perspective.
TIP for the week: You gain courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop and look fear in the face. ELEANOR ROOSEVELT (1960)
