While a gluten-free lifestyle doesn’t suit everyone’s needs, it’s an absolute necessity for those suffering from celiac disease (like my dear-old-dad). Celiac disease is an immune reaction that is triggered in the small intestine when eating gluten (wheat, barley, and rye). Eating wheat with Celiac creates inflammation and damage in the small intestine, leading to further, more severe medical complications. YIKES!
Whether you’re facing challenges with Celiac or not, these gluten-free amazon must-haves are sure to keep your tummy feeling great without breaking the bank!
8 Gluten-Free Amazon Must-Haves
1. Made Good Granola Minis – Everyone in my house is obsessed with these. The multi-flavor pack includes chocolate chip and mixed berry packs. For starters, each pack is organic, 110 calories, and free from these common allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat & gluten, dairy, egg, and sesame. Plus, this gluten-free amazon snack is perfect for your kiddos to take to school for parties and group snacks. Personally, I pair Made Good Granola Minis with a banana for my go-to snack before I step on the tennis court!
2. Seven Sundays Muesli – Originally, I was buying Seven Sundays organic muesli at Costco. But in true Costco fashion, once I was addicted to it, they stopped carrying it in stores. Typical! Thankfully, I found the nutrient-packed muesli on Amazon and immediately added it to my monthly subscribe & save. Seven Sundays gluten-free muesli tastes scrumptious if you make it right before you eat it. It’s also convenient when prepared as overnight oats and tastes just as yummy cold as it does warmed up! I add half a cup of oat or almond milk to half a cup of muesli in a mason jar. Then I add a tablespoon of honey and half a diced gala apple.
Here’s a list of all the available flavors:
- Wild + Free Blueberry Chia Buckwheat (this one is my favorite!!)
- Classic Burcher Apple Cinnamon Almond
- Simple Morning Vanilla Cherry Pecan
- Early Riser Dark Chocolate Almond
- Rise + Shine Strawberry Banana Nut
- Golden Hour Blueberry Tumeric Cashew
- Lucky Day Matcha Honey Pistachio
3. RX Bars – If you’re a gluten-free veteran, you’re likely no stranger to RX Bars. Honestly, these gluten-free amazon snacks are borderline a full meal. Hands down, RX Bars are the most filling “bar” I’ve ever eaten in my life. There’s 12g of protein in each bar thanks to the 3 egg whites. There’s 0g of added sugar – all the sweetness comes from dates. Warning: I’ve heard complaints that RX Bars stick to your teeth in an irritating way, but so do truffles. So, worth it, if you ask me.
Here’s a list of all the available flavors:
- Chocolate Sea Salt (my #1 pick!)
- Blueberry
- Chocolate Coconut
- Peanut Butter Chocolate
- Peanut Butter
- Maple Sea Salt
- Banana Chocolate Walnut
- Mixed Berry
- Chocolate Raspberry
- Vanilla Almond
PS – RX Vanilla Butter is SO GOOD. I use it on my “Fancy Toast” more often than I should admit.
4. Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars – Once again, Costco was the first to introduce me to these ultra-addicting Fig Bars. However, Costco doesn’t offer the gluten-free version of the bars, whereas Amazon absolutely does. Think Fig Newton, but WAY better. Plus, this gluten-free amazon snack comes in flavors besides fig! I have a monthly subscription for the raspberry flavor for myself, and the blueberry flavor for LB + AJ. Each pack contains 2 snack bars. Oh! They’re also dairy-free. Can’t go wrong!
5. Orgain Protein Shakes – Confession: I literally cannot live without this gluten-free amazon must-have. I drink one every. single. day. I keep one in my car and tennis bag at all times! My kids think they’re a chocolate milkshake and drink them all the time, too. These particular Orgain Protein Shakes are dairy-free and plant-based with just 1g of sugar. Plus, they’re packed with 20g of protein and just 150 calories. Also, these shakes are shelf-stable, but taste much better refrigerated, in my opinion. Fear not! Unlike most protein shakes, Orgain’s are not at all chalky and there’s no yucky aftertaste. #winning
6. The Snack Yard Shitake Mushrooms – No surprise, another Costo find. If you haven’t already noticed, I’m a HUGE fan of Costco. Free samples aside, they’ve introduced me to so many yummies I’ve come to rely on! I use these dried shitake mushrooms as a replacement for croutons in my go-to salad (recipe coming to the blog soon!). They also make for a fantastic swap for potato chips when having a sandwich for lunch. Perfectly seasoned and delightfully crunchy, The Snack Yard Shitake Mushrooms will forever exist in my pantry.
7. Epic Bison Bars – Addicted. I am addicted to Epic Bars. Calling them grown-up slim-jims doesn’t serve justice to these life-changing, gluten-free Amazon snacks. LB and AJ call them “meat sticks” which sounds totally gross but they’re totally delicious. I promise. This particular flavor is Bison Bacon Cranberry. *drooling just writing it* At 130 calories, they’ve got 7g of protein, 8g of good fat, and make the perfect good-fuel-for-your-body snack. Epic Bars are another gluten-free snack that you can find in every nook and cranny of my house- tennis bag, center console of my car, kids’ backpacks, pantry, purse…you name it. Bonus: They’re paleo-friendly, too!
Here’s a list of additional flavors:
- Beef Barbacoa / Sea Salt + Pepper / Jalapeno
- Chicken Siracha
- Venison Sea Salt + Pepper
- Beef Apple Bacon
- Smoked Maple Bacon
- Chicken Sesame BBQ
- Beef Habanero Cherry Walnut
- Turkey Almond Cranberry
- Wild Boar with Bacon + Cranberry
- Bacon + Egg Yolk
- Chicken Egg Yolk + Apple
8. Namaste Foods Organic GF Flour Blend – Obviously, this one’s not a snack. But it is a staple. I use Namaste Foods gluten-free flour blend in ev-er-y thing. My favorite chocolate? Yep. My to-die-for gluten-free pumpkin cookies? Mmhmm. Vanilla yogurt breakfast muffins for the kids? Yessir. Unlike some gluten-free flour blends, Namaste Foods converts evenly 1-1 and cooks exactly like wheat flour. It’s the perfect swap!
