6 Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting My Fitness Journey

1. Consistency

You’ve probably heard about this word before, but yes, consistency is the main key. I remember two years ago when I first started working out I thought if you workout for one day that same day you would see results. In fact, I was wrong. You will not see results and especially if you’re working out from home because in order for you to see results is to add weight and create muscle it’s the only way.

2. Recovery

This is so important, especially if you workout with weights you need to let those muscles heal. Another thing I didn’t know was that when you workout your muscles rip and in order for that muscle to heal is by having recovery days. Also, you can heal it by drinking protein shakes, which helps you tremendously. If you workout at least try to have 2 days of recovery because this is the only way you will avoid having serious injuries.

3. Growing A Booty at home

You can seriously call me dumb after I tell you this, I’ve been trying to grow my booty for 2 years and just a few days ago I found out that the only way to build muscle in that part of your body is by using weights. That’s one of the main problems when you don’t have access to a gym, but I will give you girls a tip if you’re like me that can’t go to a gym just get a backpack and fill it inside with heavy things. Mainly you challenge that muscle in order for it to grow, but not up to the point where you're going to pass out.

4. Trying to get abs when you have belly fat

So this is one of the main things that I’ve been having trouble with ever since I started working out, which obviously by now I know the answer. Which is if you have a layer of body fat it’s impossible to get abs because what you have to do first is get rid of that layer of body fat by doing HITT, Cardio, running. What I believe that will help you tone that part is by running. Trust me on this one it will burn so bad, but in the end it’s worth it.

5. Be Yourself

When starting your fitness journey please don’t pretend to be someone you’re not workout for yourself if you want to change your body do it because you want to. Don’t just do it to look like someone else. The main point is to love your body the way it is, believe me I had so much trouble overcoming this problem because I would look at these models and they had this perfect body. I was always trying to be someone I wasn’t, and that’s not good at all for your mind.

6. Calorie Intake

I don’t know how to express how important this is if you’re working out a lot. Especially heavyweight. It’s a must that you eat more calories. You need to eat to fuel up your body, giving you more energy because if not you will literally end up passing out while doing those workouts. So just make sure to at least eat 2,000 calories every day and try to eat healthy foods.

Now let’s get sweaty and not make mistakes, even though it’s all right if it’s your first time starting your fitness journey. I wish you all the best and please let me know if you like this article and if you want to see more articles about fitness. I'm really into fitness and along my fitness journey I've learned a lot and I hope that by me writing this articles you can learn too.
