5 Insanely Productive Reasons to Stay up Until 5 am Every Night
Adopt the highly successful night owl lifestyle today

I believe the most important reason I’m an insanely successful entrepreneur is my habit to stay up until 5 am every night and sleep until the afternoon.
Of course, there are always some exceptions to the rule. Some people manage to go to bed at midnight and still be productive. But in general, successful people like me don’t go to bed until 5 am.
I bet you want to be successful too and not an early bird loser! But if you still have doubts about going to bed at such a late hour, these 5 insanely productive reasons to stay up until 5 am will change your mind.
1. Be Productive Without Distractions
One thing I hate about working in the daytime is the distractions. The kids next door scream and birds sing all day long! And the sun is so bright. Oh, wait, no it’s not because I live so freaking close to the North Pole it’s rare to get any sunlight here.
But that’s not the point. The point is that when you stay up until 5 am, you get to enjoy the wonderful silence of kids not screaming and birds not singing. And even dogs not barking if you’re lucky.
Besides, your brain reaches its peak performance in the early morning hours! Like around 3 am. Yes, it does!!
When you stay up and work until 5 am, everyone else is already asleep and you’re still up and being productive. This will boost your motivation like crazy!
2. Snails Are Awake at Night
This is probably the best reason to stay up until 5 am: Snails are awake at night too! Snails are nocturnal animals, and they’re super productive at night. Well, at least my snails are.
As you may know, I run a 7-figure content agency with my pet snails. My snails always get their best ideas at night, and that forces me to stay up at night as well.
I can already hear someone claiming snails aren’t productive because they are so slow. Yes, they are!! Snails are slow because they are so productive they have time to take it slow. They have time to play, eat, mate, and crawl at a slow speed because they are so productive they get their work done fast!
Why are snails so productive? Because they stay up until 5 am or even later. Most of my snails sleep in the daytime, so I’ve built my routine around their circadian rhythm. I sleep until the afternoon and maybe send some e-mails to my clients. I even take a nap if I feel like it. It’s not until 10 pm that I start writing the articles my snails dictate to me telepathically.
3. Get 7 Extra Hours of Productive Work Time Every Night
If you’re lazy and wake up early in the morning, you have to go to sleep early every night. You miss out on the best time to be productive. When you stay up until 5 am, you get extra 7 hours of productive work time every night!
My (and my snails’) most productive hours are from 10 pm to 5 am. If you go to sleep at 10 pm, you get nothing done at night. I bet you could use 7 extra hours of productivity every night!
4. Successful People (and Animals) Are Night Owls
All successful people are night owls, especially creative entrepreneurs like writers and entertainers. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian allows his cat to wake him up at 10 am. James Joyce stayed in bed until 11 am.
Of course, you can also use me and my snails as examples of successful people (or snails) who are night owls. Owls are also very successful at their nighttime activities, and so are wolves.
Successful people (and animals) maximize their productivity by staying up late and sleeping late. This is the best way to achieve your goals.
5. It Takes Willpower So You’re Better Than Most People
Not everyone is able to stay up until 5 am. Most people fall asleep at their desks long before sunrise. Sometimes people ask me why do you have to be awake until so freaking late. Isn’t it late enough to stay up until 2 am or 3 am? Or even 4 am?
No, it’s not. It doesn’t take much willpower to stay up until 2 am or 3 am unless you’re a lazy early bird.
But staying up until 5 am takes some willpower for most people. That’s why you should do it. It makes you better than most people who are too lazy to stay up until the early morning hours.
Success Takes Work Done at Night
I bet there are some people out there who don’t like my advice. Some people have kids who wake up at 7 am. If you go to bed at 5 am, you get two hours of sleep before your kids wake up. I’ve also heard there are still jobs that start at 8 or 9 am.
But if you want to be successful, you can’t sleep all night. Success takes work done at night. At the end of the day (or night), using kids or day jobs as an excuse to not stay up until 5 am means you don’t want to succeed bad enough.
Staying up until 5 am every night is one of the most important habits of successful people like me. Many successful people, snails, and owls are night owls. Become the best version of yourself and adopt the highly productive night owl lifestyle today!
