did you know that drinking diet soda can alter your body's ability to fight an infection. that's because the artificial sweeteners in diet sodas that can alter the good bacteria that exists in your gut that's already present to help fight off infection. Today, I want to talk today about the 10 most common and best foods to boost your immune system

The immune system is comprised of cells organs tissues that help fight off infection in your body so when viruses like covid-19 or the common flu come into your body, your immune system is targeting those substances like viruses to try and ward off that infection .

The 10 foods that I'm about to discuss are not a replacement for vaccines that prevent infections or treatments like antibiotic therapy that treat infections with that said, these are the 10 foods that can really boost your immune system so I hope you consider incorporating them into your diet

Number One- Red Bell Peppers

red bell peppers a're an amazing source of vitamins and red bell peppers actually have three times the amount of vitamin C than a typical orange so great opportunity to boost your immune system with red bell peppers

Number Two- Broccoli

although it doesn't taste great it has a rich source of many minerals and many vitamins like vitamin A vitamin C vitamin E that are crucial to bolster your immune system the key is not to cook get too much and allow it to steam

Number Three Spinach

spinach is an amazing source of vitamin C really great to fight off those heart infections like bacterial infections fungal infections viral infections uh really key for that type of stuff there's really creative ways to incorporate spinach into your diet like spinach smoothies artichoke dip try it sometime

now it's important to try things like plain yogurt Greek yogurt over the yogurts that have unnecessary fat that's a better alternative for your health but yogurt is very rich in vitamin D and probiotics now probiotics are necessary because they stimulate and help that good bacteria that normally exists in your gut to fight those really hard infections
