This Publication Pays Between $200 To $1000 Per Article
They are looking for content writers
There are numerous ways to make money as a freelance writer. Some people love the idea of revenue-based income, while others want a fixed price per piece. The truth is that both of these options are available to hardworking, dedicated, and skilled writers.
In my ten years of freelancing, I have worked for dozens of websites and publications. As a full-time writer, I have various private clients and make between $4000 to $7000 a month. For many of you, this may not be enough money, but for others, it can be a life-changing opportunity.
The goal of this post is to show you how to make $200 to $1000 per article. So let's get started.
The Publication That Pays Up To $1000 An Article
Bitch Media is a renewed publication that provides thoughtful feminist pieces to the target audience. They are seeking fresh revitalizing voices and welcome writers from all backgrounds. Besides the quarterly print magazine, they publish online content up to five times a week. This means you can submit five stories every week and make hundreds to thousands of dollars.
What They Look For?
The team at Bitch Media is primarily interested in discussion-provoking critical pieces and reported features. You've to ensure that your work is well-researched and evidence needs to be provided to back up your claims and statistics. Interviews With feminist culture-makers are also welcomed. Plus, Bitch Media accepts music, film, and book reviews and nuanced analyses of inspiring or horrifying examples of pop culture.
Essays or articles must be written in the first-person. I suggest you check the print magazine and official website to get a feeling of the style and tone. Bitch Media does not accept poetry and fiction. Plus, experimental pieces, lyrics essays, and anything that reads like dissertations are rejected right away.
How To Get Started?
If you are interested in writing for Bitch Media, you will have to submit a pitch to the editor. Another idea is to send your full draft or a 200-word write-up outlining the content. When sending your query, you should submit your writing samples. If you have already contributed to the site, you don't need to resubmit past work. It is written on the website that Bitch Media does not respond to everyone because they receive a large number of applications.
Themes For Future Issues
You can always find a wide range of themes for future issues. Go through the list of themes to know what will be published in the coming days or weeks. This will help you prepare your story. I encourage you not to interpret a theme too literally. Instead, you need to take it lightly and focus more on quality.
1. Features - If you are submitting a feature, its length should be 2200 to 3000 words. This can be anything related to politics, health, and pop culture and must have a balance of personal insights, expert advice, and analysis.
2. Dispatches - The number of words should be 1200. This type of piece will highlight your fictional or imaginary world. You can write anything related to the gaming industry and the cultures and traditions of the world.
3. Culture - This category is one of my favorites. It is where Bitch Media accepts book reviews and essays on music and films. The number of words should be 2000 to 3000.
What About Payment?
This is the most important part of the story. Isn't it? Well, Bitch Media pays $700 to $1000 per feature, $350 per dispatch, and $200 to $700 per culture story. All writers are paid, meaning you cannot work as a guest blogger. Submissions and pitches are not accepted through the mail.
