Everybody can start a YouTube channel. But will it be a successful one?

Depending on your goals, you might want to simply do it for fun, or you might want to generate as many views and hence revenue as possible.

If your goal is the latter, then continue reading.

This article gives a HIGH-LEVEL overview of how to become successful with YouTube Automation.

I am working on a blueprint that will clearly outline every single step you need to take, from A-Z, but that article takes a bit more time :)

Meanwhile, take good note of this one!

Tip 1: Niche down

Going narrow into a niche is the foundational component of a cash cow channel.

Become an expert and post ONLY relevant content for that channel.

For example, you choose “sports” as your niche, but then you have to narrow it down more, for example to Basketball.

This you can narrow down even more, to a specific team, or players, or European league…

Don’t create a basketball channel and then post beauty videos for example.

In fact, don’t post ANYTHING OTHER than basketball videos.

Tip 2: Model after success

This also applies to finding a niche: Don’t try to be original, but try to be better.

Find successful YouTube channels that are going viral, follow them, study them.

Copy their idea but create a better, original version of it. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. That’s how you win.

Tip 3: Be patient

Upload at LEAST 32 videos before you look at your analytics to see if you’re going in the right direction.

Your channel will not go viral in 15 days. It usually takes 3–6 months before gaining traction.

Don’t draw conclusions too soon, and especially don’t give up too soon!

Why do some people get success and others don’t?

Often, people will compare their chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 100, and that will burn them out.

Consistency is key. That’s what people mess up on. You need to be consistent for 5 to 10 years, instead of 1 to 6 months like most people. If it doesn’t work in 6 months, most people quit. This is not smart, and it is not how winners are made. It also means that every single time you quit, you’ll have to start all over again.

If you would have stayed, and kept going and going, eventually you would’ve hit gold.

Tip 4: Hire a team ASAP / Outsource & automate

Once you start profiting, you need to put the money back into your business.

Go to Fiverr or Upwork and start hiring a team to make the video content for you. Outsourcing is a must in this business model.

You have to budget around $70 per video.

  • $30 for 10 min long script
  • $20–40 for narrator (NOT AI!)
  • $30–40 for editor
  • — — — — — — —
  • Total: +/- $100 per video.

Don’t forget about SEO and Thumbnails though! These are the most important ones — you can have amazing videos, but if nobody clicks on them, it’s all for nothing.

P.S. should you be interested in YouTube Automation, I have a team available that can help you, more info here.

Tip 5: Double down on what works.

If all your videos get 1000 views, but ONE gets 10000 views, then you need to go and create another version of that video.

If it got views, it means that people want to see more of that.

Use the same video idea, change the title slightly, but make it better.

Conclusion

YouTube Automation is a business model that can make you A LOT of money, but you have to do it the right way.

I started a while ago, and I made so many mistakes — which I will share in future blog posts.

Make sure to clap/follow/subscribe, because more YouTube Automation articles are coming and you definitely won’t want to miss those!
