You may not have a garden to relax in, but even a balcony can become an oasis of peace if you arrange it properly.

Plants are the most important when you want to make a mini-garden on the balcony, and the flowers are therapeutic in their appearance and smell, so it's a shame not to take advantage of the little space you have to turn it into a refuge.

Here is a top of the most beautiful balcony flowers with which to make your dream garden!

The most beautiful balcony flowers

Petunia

Petunias are among the favorite flowers of gardeners and more. The flowers make up a real visual spectacle, being colored in the most intense shades.

In addition, they bloom quickly and are easy to care for, being adaptable and not needing frequent watering, but only 2–3 times a week. Petunias grow best if they are exposed to direct sunlight. They need fertilizer.

To get enough light, we recommend placing them in hanging pots, directly on the window or above the balcony railing.

Pansies

Who doesn't love these delicate, brightly colored, and subtly scented popcorn, which are also edible? Pansies are adaptable flowers that can grow in small pots and even cans, but also larger pots or hanging pots.

It is advisable to use fertilizer and put them in slightly acidic soil. Pansies love the sun, so they are ideal as balcony flowers. The color variation is so great that you can make a unique decor only from pansies if you do not want other flowers on the balcony!

Chrysanthemum

The chrysanthemum is one of the most beloved flowers in the world, being surpassed in popularity only by the rose. There are many species of chrysanthemums, and some of them can be grown in pots right on your balcony.

It is not a pretentious flower at all, it only needs direct sunlight and enough water to live long and well. Do not let the soil of this plant dry out, because you will lose it, but do not water it excessively.

Lobelia

Lobelia is a perfect plant for hanging pots and has very dense flowers, usually blue, pink, or white. If you are a busy person, this flower will not bother you, because it should not be watered every day (unless it is very hot outside) and can be left both in the sun and in partial shade.

After flowering, it should always be cut so that it does not exceed 6–8 centimeters. Thus, it will continue to bloom often.

Zinnia

Zinnia is one of the most beautiful flowers on the balcony, and its beautiful colors always attract butterflies in summer. Like the other plants on our list, it is easy to care for and blooms profusely.

The flowers have either single or double petals. Tip: for the plant to bloom periodically, we recommend that you always break the wilted flowers and clean the plant of all dryness. This plant should be watered only when the soil is dry.

Begonia

Begonias are splendid flowers, which come in a wide range of colors: red, yellow gold, pink, orange, or white. What we like about them is that they have thick leaves, which means that they look great even when the plant is not in bloom.

Keep in mind that the soil must be fertilized. The only downside to this plant is that it needs to be watered regularly. If the soil becomes dry, the flowers die quickly.

Fuchsia

There are hundreds of species of fuchsia, each with a unique shape and a remarkable color combination. Fuchsia can be intense pink, purple, white, orange, or red and looks perfect in a hanging pot.

To enjoy this special flower, you must make sure that the soil is fertilized and always moist. When there is a drought, you will have to water it more often if you want it to survive.

Balcony flowers can completely change the look of this space, which should be used for relaxation, not for storage, as is often the case!
