Sharing your writing

A great way to share your writing is with Facebook groups. I use them all the time, so I thought I would share which ones I use. It's one of the best ways to get your work out there. I find I get a lot of traffic to my blogs and Medium articles when I share my work in a Facebook group.

Facebook can be a good platform for sharing your writing, especially if you have a large network of friends and family who you would like to share your work with. The platform allows you to easily share text, images, and links, making it a convenient way to get your writing in front of a wider audience.

However, it's important to note that Facebook's algorithm prioritizes content that generates engagement (likes, comments, and shares), so there's no guarantee that your writing will reach all of your followers. Additionally, Facebook is a more informal platform, and your writing may receive less attention or be taken less seriously compared to publishing it on a dedicated writing platform or website.

Ultimately, whether or not Facebook is a good platform for sharing your writing depends on your goals and your target audience. If you're looking to reach a wide audience and get feedback on your writing, it can be a good choice. But if you're looking to establish yourself as a professional writer, you may want to consider other options.

About Facebook groups

Facebook groups are a feature on Facebook that allows users to create, join, or manage a community of people around a common interest or purpose. Groups can be public, meaning anyone can see and join the group, or private, meaning that only members can see the content shared within the group and need to be approved by an administrator to join.

In a Facebook group, members can interact with each other by posting updates, sharing links, images, and videos, or commenting on each other's posts. Groups can be used for a variety of purposes, such as discussing common interests, organizing events, or sharing information.

Groups can have multiple administrators who are responsible for managing the group and its members, and they can also be set up to allow members to post updates or to only allow updates from the administrators. Facebook groups can be a great way for people to connect with others who have similar interests, and for organizations and communities to engage with their members.

I have been asked which Facebook groups I use, so I thought I would share the names and links of each group I use.

Facebook groups are easy to find and join. All you have to do is type a topic in the search line on Facebook and the titles of groups will pop up under the 'groups' section. I have two groups set up for article and book sharing, and countless others that I use on a regular basis. My own Facebook groups are Share Your Writing, Writers and Bloggers and my latest one is Sharing Medium Stories and Poetry mentioned below.
