I’m Afraid To Become A Mediocre
Dear ordinary people, please don’t read this. Please. No. It’s not for you.

Time does not wait for anyone, it flies.
Yes, you’ve heard that a million times already. But right now, I want to share my perspective on it, the way I look at that sentence. And why should you care? Probably because you too (like me)are afraid to be called “just another” guy standing in a crowd that no one cares about. I mean, that’s the reason you are reading this article in the first place, aren’t you?
So without any further ado's, let’s dig in right away.
Statistically speaking, in a world population of 7,902,002,514 (I could have simply said 7.9 billion, but NO, I need to emphasize it), it seems quite easy to find your identity, your belonging, your tribe, your community, your place that feels like home. And that’s exactly what a mediocre does.
He first finds himself, then he looks for people with similar mindsets and settles down building his small little world. He finds his happiness mingling around with his little group of friends/family/colleagues… while rejoicing in the simple pleasures that life has to offer. Unfortunately, he gets so caught up in that world of his and forgets that there is a life outside that bubble wrap. A life that is yet to explore, people that he is yet to meet and places yet to discover. He forgets that his life has a greater purpose. He forgets that his existence has a reason.
Okay, now you may argue- why step out of your comfort zone? why to unnecessarily waste your time and energy on absurd life theories? what’s the point?
I have an answer to that. A pretty easy one actually. People with great mindsets don’t just care about themselves. They have a vision (they always do). They want to make an impact. Not just another difference but an impact on themselves, those around them, basically for the entire mankind. They want to be the game-changers, set new rules, uncover deeper truths, in short-do anything that is not ordinary.
And with people with this kind of mindset, life can never be simple. No matter how much they already have, they’ll always crave for more. Surprisingly, that’s not a bad thing. At least, it doesn’t have to be. True fun begins as an adventure for them. Brainstorming ridiculous theories about why the earth is not flat? why do you need sleep? how does television work?- yes, it's all a part of their everyday overthinking routine.
But the catch here is that you don’t get successful just by having this kind of evolutionary mindset. It takes more than that. For starters, you need the push that drives you forward to imagining the creation of great things. Then, you need the skills and the resources that can turn your out-of-the-world ideas into reality. And trust me when I say, that is easier said than done. The amount of time and energy you’ll require for that, it’s just too much. And that brings us back to our very first point-Time does not wait for anyone, it flies.
For this exact reason, you NEED to start early (and I cannot stress on this enough). Starting sooner is not an added benefit or privilege but a requirement, a necessity. And by that, I don’t ask you to invent exceptional things overnight. But to gather the tools, polish your skills, build your contacts that will make your task much easier by the time you have the next big idea.
So to all the great mindsets out there, know that you are different than the rest. You are unique. You’ve got something that everyone does not. Please don’t waste your life doing insignificant stuff. Okay, one final piece of advice-Go put yourself out there and do big things.
XOXO
