How to Remove Nail Polish from Clothes
A fuchsia spot on a white shirt can seem like a nightmare, but do not worry it's very easy to get it out!

If there are girls at home, you will know that one way to make them feel good and excited is to pamper them with a manicure session. And you do not have to go to a spa or a beauty salon, because you can easily get your hands in the comfort of your home. There is only one problem: the spots!
Getting them to stay still can be a big challenge, and running around the house with their nails painted and half-dried is when the enamel stains take place. A fuchsia spot on a white shirt can seem like a nightmare, but do not worry it's very easy to get it out! In this article, we show you how to remove nail polish from clothes.
How to Remove Nail Polish from Clothes: Natural Fibers
Check the care label of the garment that was stained with enamel. If it is a natural fiber, such as cotton or linen, removing nail polish is simple.
Put an ice pack on the stain to harden it. Working with a damp stain will only cause the stain to disperse further.
Remove dry enamel sheets with your hand—if they easily peel off the fabric, never pull on the garment. Useful tip: you can use a hair removal tweezer to gently remove the dry enamel.
I moistened a microfiber cloth in acetone-based nail polish remover, and tested it over a small area of the garment. Check that the solution does not discolor the fabric. Always read the care label first.
Gently spread the nail polish remover on the back of the stain until the color disappears. Do not rub because you could damage the fabric.
Wash the garment in the washing machine with a good quality soap, such as liquid Ala Matic, and you can eliminate residues of enamel and nail polish remover. Remember to read the product label before using and followed the instructions.
How to Remove Nail Polish from Clothes: Synthetic Fibers
If the care label of your garment indicates that you are working with a common synthetic fabric, such as nylon or polyester, you may follow the same steps indicated above. Removing enamel stains from garments made from synthetic fibers can be just as easy.
How to Remove Nail Polish from Clothes: Delicate Synthetic Fibers
You have to pay exceptional attention to clothes that contain acetate. Fortunately, it is not a very common fiber; although we find it in dresses or wedding dresses, as it is very luxurious and is used in interlinings. If your garment contains acetate, keep in mind that acetate-based nail polish removers can disintegrate synthetic fibers.
To remove nail polish from delicate clothes you can follow the steps indicated above, but with an enamel without acetone. You can also add an alcohol-based hair spray to the stain, and brush gently with an old toothbrush. This is very useful to remove as much of the enamel color to the fabric before washing it with a product, such as liquid Ala Matic. However, it is always best to consult with an expert dyer before attempting to remove the stain by your own means.
Remember to try each solution in a small area of the garment before using it, keep the room good ventilated and never proceed if you do not know the material with which your garment is made. Remember that you can always send it to the cleaners!
