Having An Origami

One Piece of Paper Can Be Folded Into Numerous Positions

By Amanda M BuggPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

Not to be mistaken with the Indian Kama Sutra, art of being folded into a pretzel with your partner, this Ancient Japanese art of Origami will leave you with the same outcome and a feeling of release and tension . You’ll just keep coming back for more.

Most people look for a sexual escape when it comes to getting rid of their stressors but when it comes to me I prefer the simple art of folding paper into almost anything I want to. I can even do it by myself without being told everytime you are trying to relax by yourself you will “Kill a Cat! ” Instead, all I need is a single 13cm x 13cm sheet of paper and I can make myself my very own Puss in Boots. The best part is there are no scissors required which sucks for me because I just so happen to be a lesbian. But let me tell you more about why I really got into origami.

After my dad died on October 28, 2009 and learning to cope I really got into origami. It was just a way to escape from reality but far from psychosis. After disaster struck I found myself to be diagnosed with Bipolar Schizoaffective and having to be on medication for the rest of my life I needed something that would help me cope. My family were very outdoorsy people. We would literally be out camping or fishing every week enjoying nature. But after he died we all kind of stopped doing that. I live origami because I can just sit and create whatever animal I feel like seeing and it somehow just brings me closer to my father. We weren’t the materialistic type of people most would say a little redneck and we didn’t have a lot of money growing up so I would ask for cheaper things for Christmas like a package of colored paper just so my parents could afford to get my sisters the lastest iPod and I was just as happy because I could make the next ornament that we would use to put on the Christmas tree for years to come. What I also love about origami is you don’t need any other utensils. It’s just you and that piece of paper. Other crafts just involve so much and I feel like you waste half your time trying to find the thing that you need like the tape when wrapping Christmas presents.

There is just something about origami that just amazes me. Most people look at a piece of paper and don’t really realize what you can make just by folding. Literally, all it is is folding and no cutting corners. Anything you can imagine can most likely be made just from paper and a few folds. Some people find it frustrating because sometimes you have to fold paper in such an intricate way it can often be quite difficult. Sometimes it takes me like 5 minutes just to figure out how this fold is being made. It can often seem like your putting together some Ikea furniture. But you have to follow the instructions and sometimes act like Macgyver in a way.

There is this woman that I’m in love with and that I’m gonna ask to marry me and instead of getting her a ring that I can’t afford I just made her one out of origami until I can get her that 39ct rock. But paper beats rock and our scissoring will cut paper and I will have given her the best orgasm… I mean origami (darn auto correct) ever. I just can’t wait to see how the day unfolds!
