We live in a time of great privilege and access to nearly infinite resources, but still we feel unsatisfied and unfulfilled with our lives. The reason for this dissatisfaction is that we see ourselves as consumers rather than creators. In order to change our circumstances, we must change our mindset and re-focus on being creators instead of consumers. This change will not only improve our lives individually, but has the potential to improve the world as well.

Why I’m no longer consuming content

There’s something about consuming content that just doesn’t sit right with me anymore. Maybe it’s the way I feel after mindlessly scrolling through social media for hours on end, or maybe it’s because I’ve realized that I can’t keep up with the never-ending stream of new content that’s being produced every day. Whatever the reason, I’ve decided to shift my focus from consumption to creation. If you're feeling like you need to take some time away from consuming content and are ready to jump into creating your own, then this post is for you! Here are five ways that you can start creating your own content and getting involved in the movement towards creators rather than consumers.

What it means to be a creator

There is more to life than consuming what others have created. True satisfaction comes from creating something yourself. It could be a physical object, like a piece of furniture or art. Or it could be something intangible, like a new business or a software program. Whatever it is, creating something from scratch is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. You can learn skills and develop talents that may otherwise never surface. You’ll also build confidence, which will serve you well in other aspects of your life. And if your creation becomes successful, then you’ll know that all your hard work paid off!

Why content needs to be more than meh

If you're reading this, chances are you're a content consumer. You consume content every day, whether it's in the form of articles, videos, or social media posts. And that's fine! There's nothing wrong with being a content consumer. But what if you could be more? What if you could be a content producer? A creator? Someone who not only enjoys consuming content but also produces their own work? That's exactly what we want to show you how to do here at Vidmantu. To become a producer and not just a consumer, you need to set up your environment for success. We'll take you through each step so that when we're done together, you'll have everything ready for your next video idea!

Who are you?

You are someone who is tired of being a consumer. You're sick of working hard and seeing others reap the benefits while you toil away. You want to be in control of your own destiny, and the only way to do that is to become a producer. To do this, you must first decide what it is that you have an expertise in. It could be coding or sales or marketing or design, but it has to be something specific. Next, find people who need this expertise and charge them for it!

Change your mindset, change your life

For far too long, we've been living in a world where consumption is king. We're constantly bombarded with ads telling us that we need the latest and greatest product, and that we'll be happier and more fulfilled if we just buy, buy, buy. But what if there was another way? What if instead of being focused on consuming, we became focused on creating? One step in this direction is buying local. There are so many reasons why buying locally can make your life better: it creates jobs for people in your community, it helps you get to know your neighbors and shopkeepers, it supports smaller businesses and companies, etc. Plus there's the added bonus of knowing exactly where your food comes from!

Take action now

There's no time like the present to start becoming a producer rather than a consumer. Here are five ways you can start taking action now

1) Change your shopping habits by buying products that use sustainable materials, and not just because they're cheaper;

2) Invest in stocks from companies that invest in sustainable practices;

3) Find an environmental cause you care about and get involved with it as much as possible;

4) Plant something, anything! A plant provides so many benefits for both people and the environment;

5) Start or join a community garden. Community gardens provide fresh produce for local communities, provide opportunities for members of those communities to grow their own food, and provide green spaces where people can spend time together.
