Five Ways to Successfully not get Screwed
The Franklin Method

The times today seemed to be filled with uncertainty. A lack of security to our jobs and health are consuming our every thought. So how do you make it in this ever changing world in which he live in? Live and let die as Paul Mcartney sang. And no, I'm not talking about people. What I'm talking about is the old way of life.
1: Embrace the new world. Digital is your friend. The internet is like a library, telephone, a fax machine, and a fuck buddy all rolled into one and with more information about any specific thing you need than ever before. I have replaced engines in cars off of Youtube videos. Trust me. If you have a problem someone else has had that same problem and probably has put up a video on how to fix it. Except for the human condition, of course. Use it. It's the greatest resource you have.
2: Invest. Don't get hung up on the bullshit. If you're anti-capitalist then you're parents are probably rich and you want to be an artist. Or you are actually poor and not being paid the wage you should be for the job you do. And there's a shit load of that. 7.50 an hour? Are you kidding? If you're not poor you are a capitalist. It doesn't matter who you vote for. That's America. It's unjust and unfair but that's the cards that are dealt. I know too many people who won't give a buck to the homeless person on the street corner because they think they'll use it to buy alcohol but have no problem going into a bar and dropping forty bucks on two drinks while they complain about politics. The homeless person needs that booze more than they do. Try sleeping under an over pass sometime. But my point is it's all backwards and it's not getting fixed any time soon. Jeff Bezos is a horrible guy who treats his employees like shit but we all still use Amazon because it's convienent. No one's protesting that. He might even be appointed Supreme Chancellor one day for all we know. But one thing is for sure: Amazon stock will always be on the rise and now most brokers allow you to buy fractional shares these days. So you can invest however much you want, even just a dollar. Tesla, Target, Walmart, Google, Microsoft are all good bets too. They're not going anywhere anytime soon but up.
3: Do your research. You have access to the most information in the entire world literally at your finger tips. You can stop looking at porn for an hour or two out of the day to gain some real knowledge. My grandfather went to Columbia University for business in the same class as Warren Buffet. And they have always the same advice: You have to think in the long term. Invest in companies that have potential for growth and sustainability. Know the market and their product. I know it's hard. I, myself, am terrible at it. But I found that it does pay off. Bitcoin. Who knew? Except now I'm up 817%.
4: Be kind but don't ever, EVER, take people at their word. At least not in the United States of America. It has always been founded on lies. And people WILL always try to rip you off. Which leads to...
5: Study history. If there's one thing out there that can help you predict or understand anything the human race does, it's history. And the history of the good old US of A is filled with double sided contracts and back handed deals. Just ask the tribe of Cherokees if you can find any. I grew up not five miles from the begging of the Trail of Tears and it was never once mentioned to us while I was in grade school.
Think of surcharges or leans or something we're all kind of familiar with which is: fine print. Ever been charged an occupancy fee on AirBNB? Paying for the room is literally the fee you pay to occupy it but, never the less, there is always that extra charge on your bill right under the cleaning fee and "processing fee". What the hell do they have to process? It's in everything, though. It's a world of bullshit to get as many of your dollars out of you as they possibly can and it's been like that since the begging. Don't ever be afraid to call someone out on it because history as has told us that whenever you let a group of people get away with something, they will continue to do so until otherwise stinted. And for real. It took a war just to get people in this country to not own, abuse, and sell other human beings as their own property. Just remember. It's the best thing you can do. Remember. Where you're keys are, where you're money is, and who you are dealing with in every situation. That's the history of your life.
