I have always had bad eyesight!

But as I have gotten older and have been behind my laptop more than I honestly would like to be, I can say my vision is slowly deteriorating.

The good thing is that I am aware of this and actively taking steps to reverse the adverse effects of staring at the bluescreen.

In addition to that, I am doing exercises to help strengthen my eyes.

Yesterday, I received a few comments asking what I was doing.

In today's article, I will be outlining the exercises that I am doing, the eye equipment I have purchased, and the diet am on that will help to improve my eyesight.

What Am I Doing? What Exercises Am I Doing?

# 1 - Staring At An Object Far Off

By Joseph Greve on Unsplash

The first exercise I do is place an object with a LETTER on it in front of me, and I move back far enough where I can just barely make out the LETTER.

Right now, my eyesight is terrible, and I can only see an object clearly if it is like 3 feet in front of me.

Yeah, my eyesight is horrible.

Once I stare at the object, I focus on it for about 5 minutes.

Exercise # 2 - Eye Circles

By Amanda Dalbjörn on Unsplash

In the next exercise, I circle my eyes both clockwise and counterclockwise. I do that about 100 times on both sides.

The best way to do this is to look at a square and look at each corner of that square.

A good example would be to look at your window and just look at each corner individually to do the circle exercise.

Exercise # 3 - Eye Massage

I don't RUB my eyes. I massage my eyes.

I gently massage the eye with my index finger and middle finger in a circular movement.

And I do this after each exercise.

What Equipments Am I Using?

Without a doubt, if you are on a laptop for much of the day, YOU NEED TO INVEST in bluescreen tint glasses.

You will immediately, upon placing them on and looking at your laptop, see the effects.

Prolonged exposure to bluescreen damages your eyes, and these glasses block out those blue lights.

These are the glasses I have bought, and I honestly couldn't be happier.

They really do work.

Note: They do not help improve your vision, as they are not prescription glasses but just glasses to block out the blue light.

What Am Eating/What Supplements Am I Taking?

Right now, I am taking Billberry supplements.

If you have never heard of this before, then allow me to explain what this is.

"Bilberry antioxidant supplements support healthy vision by helping to regenerate light-sensitive pigments in cells of the retina, according to a study published in the September 2010 issue of the journal "Vestnik Oftalmologii." Anthocyanidin compounds in bilberry protect and improve nutrient status of the retina. Bilberry extract protected the retina from damage in an animal study published in the July 2009 issue of the journal "Molecular Nutrition and Food Research." In the tissue culture study, bilberry antioxidant extract prevented oxidation of lipids and inhibited nerve damage to the retina in response to a toxin." - Healthy Eating

This is my first time using it, but I have heard many great things about this.

If you want to give them a try, then this is the brand that I am currently taking.
