Yu Jin: Step on the great ideal underfoot

Part 1

By Canaday DeleonPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Life is a process of constant change. There is always a difference between what you initially think and what you finally do. Doing well is the most important. My original dream was to be a teacher, but after I graduated from Xinxiang Tax School at the age of 19, I went to work under the pressure of reality. After three years, there was not much to gain except to meet my life partner and gain confidence, so I decided to come back and start my own business.

God hit me on the head with a pie -- I won the lottery with a friend. It was the prize of more than 20,000 yuan that became the start-up capital of my business. Three computers (one to buy and two to borrow), rented a small office of more than 20 square meters, "Qingfeng" was born.

Keep the struggle in your bones

To tell the truth, at this time my life experience, and life experience are extremely lack, the only is bold, ignorant fearless, can only struggle hard, even say desperately, let others see my diligence and "strong". In this way, I persisted for more than four years and basically solved the problem of food and clothing.

Qingfeng is not a very big enterprise, but the development is stable, the prospect is good. What we do is mainly in the field of the Internet. There is no doubt that the nature of the industry determines that our work is extremely competitive, and every employee is under great pressure to make this business bigger.

However, in my second year, I had my first cold snap. When I came to work this morning, all the staff (there were a dozen of them) had left, except me. I don't know why they left, but they realized there was something wrong with their management. Stress isn't all bad, but are they happy? Is there a future with me? That is the crux of the matter.

After a long time of thinking, I understand: the management of an enterprise, in the final analysis, is to manage the employees of the enterprise. No matter how capable a person is, if there are no employees, nothing can be accomplished. Employees should be treated with respect because they are also human beings with status, dignity and status (not position).

With that in mind, I didn't blame the employees who left, but thanked them from the bottom of my heart. It was from this event that I began to manage the company scientifically.

There are new employees joining us every day. In order to communicate with them more, I insist on coming to work on time every day. Once, I stumbled across that I knew only 70 of the company's nearly 500 employees. This number strikes me as incredible and recognises the seriousness of the problem. So I tried to get to know my employees and make them feel like they belonged. Although the competition is cruel, the warmth between each other will make the whole work flow virtuous circle.

Like myself, there is no point in starting a business without the support and sharing of my family. Family comes first in my heart, career second. So, I tried to slow down and take responsibility for my family. At the same time, I have a clear understanding of the development direction of the company. The original grand goal to implement every thing in the company, to solve these things well has become my real pursuit. How to manage them well, let them work happily, improve efficiency, let the company get more profits, has become the focus of my work. Keep the struggle in the bone, the inner "strong" is better than the appearance of "strong".

However, the cold wave swept in again, and I was joined by several department heads. At dinner, they collectively demanded a pay rise. But this time I wasn't as rattled as the first time. After thinking it over, I decided to break it up one by one, and the situation quickly settled down. Later, they both resigned. Now think about it, salary is actually a double-edged sword, should be comprehensively viewed: salary, staff level is less than, employees are in danger; The staff level is up, the salary is less than, the enterprise is in danger.
