Which is better for e-commerce Woo-commerce or Shopify
For e-commerce

Nowadays many prefer doing purchases on the digital platform rather than visiting a physical store for overseas items. Yeah, you don’t have the opportunity to physically inspect the product. But still, to get a product from overseas without visiting the place it’s not a bad deal. And besides, e-commerce businesses are built upon trust between customers and suppliers. Thus defective products are rarely found and if found then return options are available as well.
Are these the only reasons for e-commerce websites to gain this much popularity? Nope, the main reason is because of its flexibility. Almost anyone can start an e-commerce website and selling products. Also, the products don’t need to be supplied by you. You can just be a middle man and put on products that you are sure you can provide. In other words, you can easily earn from home online through the e-commerce platform and generate a stable income funnel.
So how do you start? Well, you need a website to build a digital. Now you are thinking building a website with payment gateway security would cost a lot. And since you might not have any programming knowledge it’s hard to evaluate and also for the simplest edit like changing text color or font family you have to contact a developer. So how should you approach these issues?
Lucky for you aren’t the first one to face such issues. So solutions have been popping up here and there in the form of website builders. Using which you can build your platform as you like just with a simple drag and drop interface. Among them, WooCommerce and Shopify are renowned as two of the most popular and easy-to-use e-commerce platforms out there.
So which one should you choose? Now that’s a good question. Well, the final diction has to be taken by you. All I can do is give you a brief on both of them and make it easier for you to choose.
WooCommerce
Who hasn’t heard of wordpress? One of the leading website builders out there. Woocommerce is a plugin of wordpress that if enabled then the e-commerce features become accessible. And if you heard about wordpress then you should know about the large collection of exclusive themes and plugins that are available. Which include free and premium. That not only enhance your site experience but also allow you to make it look more attractive to the visitors. Also, there are a lot of popular plugins like Elemento, WPBakary, etc. which make it easy for you to organize the layout of your site just by dragging and dropping elements on the page. So no real programming knowledge is needed. But there are some plugins that require a little programming knowledge to use them. Like site scrapper needs which requires one to have an idea about classes and id to scrap data from the targeted site or some services which need you to put scripts or meta tags on the header section for them to work. And also the security and other maintenance have to maintain you. Though it might be a pain it assures you more security.
Shopify
Though it can’t be compared to wordpress for having a vast collection of plugins and themes that doesn’t mean that it’s not as useful. Unlike wordpress where you have to install page builders separately in case shopyfy the builder are pre-installed and are in a drag and drop style. Also, the seo and security are handled by the platform automatically which might seem helpful. But also means that you don’t have full control over your shop.
Lastly
I have said I think both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Now it’s up to you to choose the one that suits you the best. And start your own business on the global platform.
