As a Nottingham Trent University graduate, marketeer and full-time freelance writer of three years, Katie is a self-professed wordsmith and people-pleaser.

There’s nothing she loves more than telling a brand’s story online, whether this is through their website, blog or social media channels.

Her journey had humble beginnings when she was convinced to start a blog at university by her Fashion Marketing and Branding course lecturers. The idea was to record her observations when it came to fashion, trends and styling until graduation.

Little did she know that she would end up falling in love with blogging — and blogging about fashion specifically.

Fast-forward nine years and she’s still running a rebranded version of this blog today. (Say hello to The Trendy Tourist.)

But we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves.

Post-university, Katie worked in the marketing departments of two different-sized companies, tried her hand at technical design and travelled the world.

However, her lust for blogging (and writing online) never went away.

This caused her to take the plunge and start her own freelance writing business in 2017.

In addition to writing for client blogs, websites and online magazines all around the globe, she helps bloggers become better writers so they can make a living from their passion via the Dream Scribe blog.
