The department is also responsible for managing all aspects of the workers’ benefits, ranging from health benefits and other insurance covers like disability covers, and accident or emergency covers. It is the department which takes care of the wellness of the employees. In the case of absenteeism, the department keeps the records and strives to understand the reasons behind your absenteeism. The employee’s affairs are taken care of by the Human Resource Department. The department manages all the leaves an employee needs. If you need to leave, you submit your request to the HR.
5. HR Regulates Employee Relations
This department also plays an essential role in maintaining an excellent relationship between the employees in different departments, and with the management team. It channels communication between various departments, and ensures that integrity and fairness are upheld in the organization. The Human Resource department manages all disciplinary cases, and plays a significant role in solving disputes among the employees.
6. Upholding Legal Responsibilities
The human resource department is responsible for enforcing and interpreting labor laws provided by the land. For example, Human departments of companies in the US ensure that companies uphold the US Department Labor laws. It is the responsibility of the HR department to ensure that the company adheres to the business law of the land, and that it has the proper certificates operating in the region. All logistics concerning paying of taxes and filing are controlled by the Human Resource Department.
