All the books I read in July 2023
I had a pride themed video call where we showed off all our favourite LGBTQ+ books, and even included tarot inspired writing. Thank you for my friend Cesca from the Lit group for recommending this book. I thought this was fantastic. This is loosely based of an old French legend set in Cornwall wa out a non-binary knight called Silence. Silence is biologically female but nature but is nutured to be a man. The conflict between nature and nurture is interesting. I also find the name Silence to be poignant as Silence is constantly struggling to conceal their true self.

Do some of you actually prefer reading here on vocal instead of an actual book?
What is better? Vocal or an actual book. A long time ago I started writing on this platform because I wanted to strengthen my writing ability to eventually become a published author. And looking back at the stories that I wrote here, I straight up feel like I was simply writing to be read rather than being intentional about the whole thing. In a book, the author has a purpose for creating the story and the reader has a purpose for reading it. But here on vocal, I never knew what I was going to write, and when I finally decided on a topic I remember pushing myself to create content out of the blue even though I had no genuine motivation to write said topic. The purpose was simply not there. Thus making each story hard to write, long to make, and frustrating to work with. It was a draining experience. Some of the stories I wrote even make me cringe to this day because of how bad they actually are! So I stopped writing and pursued other things. Nonetheless, I came back 2 years later, because I still have the goal to become a published author. And I still want to improve my writing abilities to best convey what I think is important through storytelling. So I'm switching gears and plan to take a different approach.

Titles
I have a lot of inspiration and imagination. However, I cannot write every one of those stories that I think about. Here is a collection of titles, titles of stories that I have. Since they are just titles, you can use them, but if you want to know my version of it, just leave a comment with the title you like. Though, I need to admit some of those titles are orphans of a story from my part. Keep in mind that I can make a book or a series of books of every single one of those titles. At the very least a small story or a poem. Some of those titles have more than one story/idea link to it. I kept out the titles that I would not write a story with this name, it's all safe for work here, if you know what I mean.
