When I was in my 20s, I used to believe that all these appraisals based on merit are correct to the dot. Little did I think about what is the basis for measuring merit and who decides this. It is when I am feeling stalled in my career, I gave some serious thought to it.

Writers have a stable and complicated life, and it is well worth living because of their fascinating habits. A writer's Emotional sensitivity is often equated with emotional instability or immaturity, leading to misunderstanding. It's a known truth that writers are empathic and have a unique way of looking at things.

Too Lazy To Learn
I think we are all guilty of this to varying degrees. Often it's because the learning process is time consuming , expensive and even difficult. Sometimes it's because it's time consuming. While I can doodle about on most musical instruments I can't actually play apart from basic rhythm accompaniments and maybe the odd simple solo. However something like Trace Bundy's take on Pachelbel's "Canon" just leaves me awestruck. Learning takes practice, time and dedication.

Not the average Thursday Afternoon
So it started off like any regular Thursday. Class was let out, everyone said their goodbyes and we all went our respective ways. I was waiting for the bus which seemed to be later than usual which bugs the shit out of me. Well let me tell you how awesome it was when my already late bus got caught in a construction zone - for an hour and a half!
