Thinking and Rethinking Thought Leadership. Top Story - July 2021.
Thought Leader - Definition A thought leader is an individual or firm (agency) that is recognized as an authority in a specialized field and whose expertise is sought and often rewarded. In the sciences or other highly technical fields this makes sense though I still find it mostly unhelpful. It is usually more of an indicator of ego than actual accomplishment with the so called “thought leaders” mostly (though not always) self anointed (or anointed by a small group of other self anointed thought leaders) as such.

Blytons Imagination
I can, in an instant, take myself back to childhood, just by thinking of, or seeing an Enid Blyton book. Of course, many writers made an impact on me as a child, from the very hungry caterpillar, to a favourite story my grandmother read me about the fisherman's wife, that taught me a lot about where greed will get you!

Jane Austen Receives an Offer of Marriage
Dear Friends, I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits. As you are most aware I am sure, I have until most recently been employed at the local library. How many happy hours I have spent acquainting myself with books and newsworthy topics of the day. And how many interesting and unusual characters I have been exposed to in the most comedic of ways. I daresay, I am acquainted with every oddity in all of Fredericksburg. Even friends of no interest in reading or books have been known to send me photographs of unusual Fredericksburg natives to seek out if we were acquainted with one another.

Jane Austen Works at a Public Library
Dear Friends, Tonight, I find it most agreeable to share with you one of a most favorite of library stories, one that has been shared, and reshared upon many-a request, with friends who adore this tale above all others. This story has been long burning in my chest to be told in a more global fashion; I write it here for you now, as it should be saved for all posterity.

Mr. Tiny's Will
I really didn't feel out of place, being here at the reading of Mr. Tiny's will. Other coloreds was here - not just the light skinned ones either. three of them was dark. Lawyer Judd said I was to be here. Maybe he told them the same. Three of his immediate family was sitting up front at the desk and the rest was distant relatives, cousins nieces and nephews. Just hoping that they could leave this place in a better situation. Now, I have been here longer than anybody in the room even Mrs. Tiny. I was an old woman when Mr. Tiny brought her home to marry. And then the children was born, Daniel Jr. and Adam Moses.

The End of the World As We Know It
6/23/2024 I was scavenging today. I found an old record player. I plugged it into the solar converter and it worked. So I went back into the abandoned zone even deeper, trying to remember where the music store had been. On the way I found some canned pumpkin pie filling. I am looking forward to using it when I make my bread and pressing it with my tongs in the space heater I have at camp.

A story of memories
The next day I woke up and I saw a car in the front yard, and I knew this car. I have seen this car before when I was at nans home, it was my grandpa’s car. And as soon as I realized it, I ran to that car and found my nan walking out of the car. I started crying badly, for had wished to be taken away from that place, and she answered. I was leaving that community, but I felt bad for the other kids who still had to live there. So, before I left, I gave my respects to those from around the fire place. I left moments later. Driving off in my grandparents’ car. Once I left, I felt relieved, released, liberated, freed and rescued from a prison.

Don’t forsake Your Old Friends
When I was in High School, one day, I was bluffing my elder cousin showing myself as a studious scholar. I was carelessly playing with the pages of an English Grammar and Composition Book written by some incompetent author. Who plagiarized the list of idioms and proverbs from J.C. Nesfield. By chance, I saw a saying, “Don’t forsake your old friends.” As I read, I was scared. Because till then, some of my friends of the diaper and underwear era had been lost unconsciously. I was worried about how to reconnect my link with those friends.
