There there was a community where it was common for women to become pregnant quickly. Since many thought it was the result of their ancestors’ benediction, it became the subject of the most conversation in the hamlet. Pregnant ladies were treated like princesses; they received the greatest food, the nicest clothing, and unrelenting pampering. However, odd things started occurring throughout the community. The pregnant ladies began inexplicably disappearing. Anjali, a female, was the catalyst for everything. She was expecting to give birth to her first kid in a month when she was pregnant. Sudhir, Anjali’s husband, was a farmer who toiled hard to support his family. It was tremendous eagerness to see their newborn, but when Anjali vanished mysteriously, everything changed. Sudhir looked in every direction for his wife, but he could not find her. The locals also looked, but their efforts were fruitless. Anjali’s due date has passed after one month. Sudhir was crushed and gave up. However, there was an odd occurrence in the community. Manisha, another pregnant woman, was also unaccounted for. The villagers chose to look further this time because they were more careful. They learned that all of the pregnant ladies who had gone missing had a visit with Dr. Sharma, a new physician in the community. Suspicious about Dr. Sharma, the people challenged him. He rejected all the villagers didn’t take him seriously. They looked about his clinic and discovered something horrifying. They discovered all of the pregnant women’s bodies in his basement. They had been murdered, and their unborn children had been taken. The locals were in disbelief and in shock at what they had discovered. Dr. Sharma has been selling the infants to childless couples after conducting illegal abortions on expectant mothers. Outraged, the villagers rushed to the police. The hamlet resumed its regular existence after Dr. Sharma was detained and accused of murder. The people, however, couldn’t get rid of the horrifying and depressing recollections of those vanished pregnant ladies. The local leaders made the decision to erect a monument in honor of those expectant mothers. They gave it the name “Shrine of the Missing Mothers,” and the locals would light candles and pray for their souls on the day that marked the anniversary of their disappearance. The shrine evolved into a representation of optimism and a warning to everyone that evil may hide in the most unexpected places. The hamlet moved on over the years, but the whereabouts of those missing pregnant ladies remained a mystery. Nobody has ever been able to comprehend why someone would commit such a horrific act, and the villages were left in the dark about it. Years later, a team of archeologists visited the village and began performing excavations near Dr. Sharma’s clinic. They discovered something that really shocked the people. They discovered Dr. Sharma’s diaries and notes in a secret chamber. The notes exposed his full scope of wickedness and the depraved intellect that drove it. He had been monitoring the ovulation cycles of the villagers’ women and picking the ones he believed would have healthy offspring. The missing pregnant women’s story had become a legend handed down to newer generations because the ones who had known them had long since died. However, the younger generation continued to honor them at the Shrine of the Missing Mothers by remembering them. The community had discovered a vital lesson, but the mystery of the missing pregnant women remained unresolved. Being watchful and aware of your surroundings is essential because evil may manifest in many different ways. They would never forget the brave ladies who had endured suffering because it would serve as a constant reminder of the value of life and the necessity to preserve it.
