My Life As An Independent Living Assistant
"Buzz Buzz Buzz!" Computer snooze for five more minutes, I grumble and roll over in bed, opening my groggy eyes and groan. Its time to get up an ready for work. Now don't get me wrong I am one of those lucky ones that have a job they actually enjoy. My groan is at the annoyingly early start to my day. It is either 4:00 A.M or 5:00 A.M. Yes I know what your saying :"That's only an hour difference" However that hour difference is what will help define my day.

You're One of My Kind
I got a text message from someone addressed to her 'Favorite Training Person.' For a time I was a trainer for Waldenbooks/Borders Group. I got to do one-on-one training with new managers in my base store, and then group training with amazingly talented trainers in an offsite location. We worked first on flip charts (yup!) then graduated to PowerPoint. Soft skills were part of the group training: recruiting, conflict management, communication... and change.

How to Write With Passion and Captivate More Readers
Write what you are passionate about “Write what you know” was the mantra that rolled around in my head over and over in the early days of my writing career. A lot of writers hear this and argue about it because it can really stunt creative writing, but it can also be a good starting point.
