Working In Staffing Helps Me Help Others, And It's One Of The Best Feelings In The World
A little background about me and my dreams: I wish to write full-time and, through my writings, help destigmatize mental illnesses. This dream is very near and dear to my heart, and something that I am incredibly passionate about. It is also important to note that one of my constant goals and motivators in life is to help people. I personally know what it's like to struggle through the darker moments in life, and how every aspect of our lives contributes to our overall mental health. So, I really want to help others in any way I can. I figure everyone could use a little extra kindness in their lives.

The Creator
It took my 16 years to be able to finally say I love what I do. Growing up, our generation didn’t have access to social media and all the infinite possibilities the internet had to offer. Social media didn’t exist. We still followed the structure of going to school, get good grades. Pick something you won’t hate even though you can’t even fathom what that career entails.

Working Hard or Hardly Working?
Taking an extra year off work as extended parental leave was the best decision I ever made. I’ve had time with my daughter I’ll never get back. I’ve grown into and embraced my new role as “Mum”. I rediscovered who I was outside of my horrid work persona. I started a hobby for the first time, which turned out to be what I want to do as a career. Life is good.

Watching the SLP.
When most people think of a classroom substitute they think of a substitute teacher. Likely a college student trying to make ends meet who babysits some kids doing a premade assignment until the bell rings. That isn't exactly what substitutes do, they certainly do more, however this isn't my job title. I'm a substitute paraprofessional, also called a substitute teacher's aide and I work almost exclusively in special needs classrooms helping teachers and students.

Days
In my current job I am a very small cog in the system , but small cogs make a difference if they do not work. I provide support to the finance department and we are constantly having to extend our remit of what we do , regulating organisations to benefit everyone in our nation. I don’t want to say who I work for , my friends obviously do, but I started here about six years ago after finishing with a job based forty miles away.
