Rediscovering Atlanta’s Architecture
Atlanta is frequently accused of forgetting its history. Indeed, as progress marches forward and the city's core bustles with new development, older structures are discarded as worthless, usurped by monotonous, anonymous gleaming glass towers. We can learn from the losses of the Loew's Grand Theatre, the Piedmont Hotel, the original Equitable Building, Terminal Station, and several other smaller but no less significant buildings that demolition of historic fabric is a loss for our city. And the significance of appreciating the classical architecture that has survived.

Art History Briefing: Bronze Statues’ Role in Art & Architecture
When used in art and architecture, bronze conveys a sense of wealth and nobility. Bronze statue has historically represented gods and leaders from all cultures, which adds to the regal impression one gets when studying them. The colour and complexity of the material appeal to artists, who have historically used it again after it corroded, melting it down to its original form and creating something new.

God’s Bull
This is a portrait of King Chain. He is the inspiration behind this piece and at the time of producing it, I pre assumed him to be the love of my life. Forever being an continuous support and drive in everything I do since we met. Never folding and always propelling me forward, our relationship has taught me many lessons. I was moved to create this to show my love and appreciation for him. I named the piece “God’s Bull”, because to me he is a blessing, born under Taurus. I pulled a lot of references from classical religious medieval art. I specifically chose the halo for its symbolism of spiritual power, whether from the intrinsic power found in a god(s) or that proscribed power by a god(s). The cross held in the right hand is an intentional continuation of refrences Christ blessing with his right hand depicted in religious art throughout history. It is also an ode to his family ties to Christianity. In the pose his head is slightly lifted and he is looking down upon the viewer in discernment, confronting them and drawing them into the composition.

Me, Myself, Undisguised
As is often with me, I find myself not directly answering a prompt, as if I was intimidated by it. I go on rants, or go off course, somehow finding my way to an answer. It reminds me of William Zinsser’s statement about writing in On Writing Well (a book I think every writer should read more than once): “All writing is ultimately a question of solving a problem.”

Ten Truths About What Life Is Like for Former U.S. Presidents
Ten Truths About What Life Is Like for Former U.S. Presidents The presidency of a country is one of the most difficult occupations there is. It might be more appropriate to argue that the presidency is the most demanding job there is. For the duration of his or her four-year mandate, the commander in chief is always on call. If he is successful, voters will reward him with another four-year term as president. Everything of vital importance crosses the desk of the American president every day: issues with military preparation, financial difficulties, social problems, public policy issues, and more. There is no minor choice. The workplace's constant demands have resulted in its employees aging to the point where it has become a meme. According to certain historians, American presidents age two years for every year they hold the office. In January 2009, Barack Obama famously took office. He was young and energetic. After eight years, the demands of his employment had significantly made his hair grey. When everything is said and done, what happens? Do former leaders now finally unwind and let their hair down? (Sorry, Barack. Or does the quick pace go on? This list is all about what former American presidents' daily lives are like after leaving office.

Investing in a RELATIONSHIP
It was a fine morning at work, and I was in the cafeteria with a friend, having breakfast. The ambience was vibrant, chaperoned by not-so-loud chatters from other colleagues from work who were also treating themselves. Out of nowhere, I found myself asking my friend a question that has been bugging my mind.
