Writing in Sacred Spaces
Every October, I make the journey down I-5, across the plains of the Skagit Valley, through the bustle of Anacortes, to the ferry terminal. Last time, as I pulled onto the ferry, I found myself sandwiched between a semi and a large pick-up. It’s surreal, being in a car, on a boat, surrounded by traffic-to-be. When I’m asked where I’m headed, I reply “To a writer’s retreat on Orcas Island.” It seems like such an understatement.

Things to Consider When Choosing the Right Technical Partner
It is correctly said that a company is not made big by money but with a great idea and large proposals. And in every business – no matter what profession you belong to, technology plays a very important role to make a big idea work. Technology is such a big break, but at the same time it could turn out to be a headache for you, and for the same reason, to run your business effectively and be able to cope with the fast-growing market and to gain a boost on the competitive market, you need a Technical Association.

Keep Glowing Keep Going Keep Growing
I remember the first time I was asked the question, "What are you passionate about"? In my vagueness, I said that I wanted to be happy and make others happy. I was in middle school and hardly even experienced the world and not really clear on what I even wanted to be when I grew up. In my journey of discovering my passion my answer always stayed the same, I want to be happy and make others happy.

The Review Board
The concept of me transferring my usual intense verbal rants into written ones was initially given to me by my therapist. It is hilarious that I can acknowledge her statements years later. Most of the time when I sat across from her, I would leave the positive commentary she gave, in the crevices of the couch. The realizations about my state of mind would rush out the office door before me to make it as difficult as possible for me to make it back home. Maybe the encouraging suggestions that were meant to ignite my spirit ventured out of the office when all the lights were out, and everyone had exited the building. Then unsure of where I resided, a portion of my perspective purpose, wandered around Brooklyn trying to find my voice. It must have been exhausted. All those years searching for the host that had no concern or interest in its’ existence.

Fall Of Pride Rise of Passion
So here I am with a major wrap sheet that I no longer identify with, a failed marriage and about eight burned out therapists later. I think it is safe for me to say I have officially discovered what I am most passionate about. And guess what? There is a kicker! May I have a drumroll please?....are you ready? Okay, here it goes....I was only yesterday years old when I found out what I'm most passionate about. Sounds crazy? I know, right? I definitely get it. Most will not be able to keep up with all of this perfect chaos, say that you can keep up, you will see the beauty in all of it unfold and how it all comes full circle. Let me start off by saying I have asked myself what I am most passionate about so many times before that if I were paid for each time I pondered it, I would have been able to retire. Every single answer that I had come up with just never felt like the "One" correct answer. Please read that last sentence again. That is one of the keys that unlocked the treasure chest of my truth. You see, I always expected the answer to my life's most intensely burning question to be one simple singular answer. In actuality, yesterday I reached the conclusion that the "one" correct answer is just as multidimensional and complex as myself as an individual. I would say that I am most passionate about self discovery, self help, and self growth.

Sorta Homeschooled
My schooling experience was... strange. I didn't exactly go to public school, and I wasn't exactly homeschooled. It was a sort of hybrid between the two. From Elementary through Middle School I was completely homeschooled. I am not sure what this sounds like to you, but it meant that I didn't have summers, for some reason my mother didn't give us them, and I had school on vacation. Also, my family was mainly who I spent all of my time with up until High school aside from martial arts, but we will get to that.

Building a Better Life with Better Decisions
When it comes to making decisions, I knew I was superb. My life and career were going great, built on a foundation of good decisions and hard work. And then, I fell in love and married the absolute wrong guy. After beating myself up for that decision, my own introspection led me to seriously study decision making. I read the latest books and reviewed the available research. I was disappointed that most of the books turned all the great research on how our brains function into manuals to help marketers understand and capitalize on how consumers make decisions. I’m not opposed to marketers or marketing, but I was in search of guidance on how to make better decisions in my life. I began mentally cataloging good and bad decisions all around me – in life and in business. While working with dozens of companies, such as Procter and Gamble, Nielsen, Walmart, L’Oreal, Target, Conagra, Kroger, Meijer, Ulta, Beam Suntory, Hershey, and Red Bull, I observed that ...
