When it comes to SEO, many people think they know what is involved. But the truth is that there are a lot of misconceptions about what SEO actually is and how it should be done.

This article will help you learn more about SEO and make sure that your website doesn't fall victim to any common mistakes. We'll cover how to do SEO the correct way with real quality content so that your site can rank well in search engines and reach the right audience!

Always Think About Your Audience First When it comes to SEO, you need to think about who you want coming to your website. If you target the wrong people, you'll end up with a lot of bounce rate and low conversion. So who is your ideal audience?

What is the topic that they're interested in? What words do they use when searching for content on this subject matter? These questions will help you to figure out what keywords should be used in order to reach them!

For example, if we were looking at SEO for beginners as our keyword research, it would make sense to target people using search phrases like "learn SEO" or "how does SEO work".

But if we wanted someone more advanced, then maybe we would want to focus on "SEO tools" or something else related.

This might seem obvious but not everyone thinks about their visitors first when doing SEO.

Find The Correct Keywords For Your Audience

Once you know who your target audience is, you will then need to start keyword research for them. You will do this by looking at the words they use when searching for content related to your niche.

Are they looking for help? Do they need to solve a problem? Always think of the reasons why they would want to visit your site.

There will be several types of keywords you want to look for. There are informational, transactional, and navigational. Informational keywords are great for content that provides quality information to your visitors.

Transactional keywords are used for websites such as online stores and provide the ability to purchase items through them. Navigational keywords will help you rank higher in search engines by getting people to visit your website more often.

Find Low Competition Keywords At First

If you have a new website, you will need to dig a little hard for keywords. The keywords you want to go after at this stage are more longtail keywords, consisting of 3 or more words.

Low competition, higher volume keywords are not always easy to find. You will need to think harder about what people are searching for to find lower competition, higher-volume keywords.

Low competition is not just about the number of searches; it's also related to how many competitors you have in your field rank well on those search terms.

Using a tool such as Neil Patel's Ubersuggest, try and think of different longtail keywords you can target for your website.

If you are not sure of what to type in the search box, try typing in a broad keyword in your niche and then click on "keyword ideas" for more related keywords.

Also, look at the difficulty score of each keyword. Try to drill down to easier to rank for keywords.

Create Content That Informs And Solves Problems

Once you have some keywords nailed down it's time to create content. The content you create is the gateway to conversions of repeat blog visitors.

Content is one of the most important steps if you want to produce conversions from your blog.

The two key things to remember about content are that it should inform and solve problems - if you do both of those, your readers will come back for more!

When writing your articles check that your language is simple and easy to understand.

Don't use jargon or words that are unfamiliar to your readers. The key here is to make it easier for people with less technical knowledge or who don't want to read a long article about something they're not interested in.

When writing content be sure that you also provide sources if possible so people can do their own research!

You may even go one step further by including an expert opinion from someone who has experience (even better if this person is relevant!)

This will give visitors confidence in what you're doing because there's another voice backing up everything you say.

Content Promotion

Once your article is done, you will need to promote it to gain visibility. There are a few ways you can promote your content to increase visibility:

- Submit it to blogs related to the subject of your post and ask for permission before submitting (or find someone's email if they don't have contact info on their site)

- Use some social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook - These sites not only allow people with similar interests but also provide easy links back to your article which helps more readers see it! You could also use an app called HootSuite that will let you manage all three of those accounts at once as well as other networks.

-Ask others to share your article on social media sites

-Submit your article to websites that may be interested in covering it.

-If you have a newsletter, send an email with the link as well! (if not start one!)

Summary

Seo has a lot of moving parts such as technical SEO, but quality content, user intent, and promotion are the 3 most important things you should always focus on.

Google wants visitors who will stay on their website and use it often - which is why they focus heavily on quality content (user engagement) as well as other factors like page speed. User intent relates more specifically to what someone's goal is when visiting a certain page or domain.

Keywords are words related to the topic of a page or article that people search for through Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc., so you want those words in your content so it can rank higher when someone searches for them.
