Russia's correspondences controller charged 10 neighborhood news sources on Saturday of erroneously portraying what Russia calls an exceptional military activity in Ukraine and dispersing misleading data regarding occasions there.
Among those sent advance notice letters were Echo Moskvy, a well known radio broadcast, and Novaya Gazeta, a paper incredulous of the public authority whose manager in-boss Dmitry Muratov was granted a Nobel Peace prize a year ago.
Roskomnadzor, the controller, requested the media to erase the culpable data or face limited admittance to their sites and media assets.
