Popular: What Every Blogger Wants To Be

Though, most Bloggers will say this is not true, the fact is that most Bloggers love being popular. One way to be popular in the Blogging world is to stand out from the crowd.

Building a popular high traffic blog is possibly the most important thing we can do to ensure a high level of success online.

I wrote a post about statistics I thought matter the most, for achieving online website success.

Building a highly popular website is a sure way of achieving most of those ” Crucial statistics” .

What drives many people to become highly successful and very popular in life, is often the same “Secret Ingredient” that drives people to an equal level of success online.

I think if we dig a little deeper into what motivates us to strive to be more popular both online and offline, it may turn out to be a touch of Narcissism mixed with an equal dose of self doubt.

All the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players,

They have their exits and entrances,

and one man in his time plays many parts,

his acts being seven ages.

Though, many of us do not like to admit it, I believe that most people secretly desire to be up on stage in front of a large audience.

Look at the massive popularity of all those singing and talent shows these days.

Without that inner need people have to ” be in the spotlight” none of those shows would last very long….

As you know it is the complete opposite, as these shows are flooded with thousands and thousands of people wishing to audition…..

This is just the inner need we all have to ” Show to the world what we have to offer “ or ” To bring to light our hidden talents”…….

Talking about hidden talents, check out this article over on the Business Insider Website called the 15 most Massively Popular Websites You’ve Never Heard of…written by Ellis Hamburger..

Okay! I think many of those sites in that article are well known to all of us…though, there are a few websites there that are far more popular than I would have expected….

The point is that we all(well, most of us) strive to build up a popular website….and when we really think about it, without having a popular website, we are not able to succeed online with our websites….

Building a popular website should be one of, if not the most important task we set about doing to ensure our success….

There is a catch though!

Sometimes you and I can become paralyzed by the mere thought of becoming popular…..

We have Doubts About Becoming Popular

The other side of us is driven by self doubt about our desire to be loved and admired and become more popular in the Blogging world. The same applies with our websites!

On the one hand we wish to be a “Spot Light Loving Blogging Super Star “ though, we are still coming to terms with that inner desire to stand out from the crowd and embrace our new popular selves.

There is a saying that goes something like this ” most people would prefer death, rather than speak on a stage in front of a crowd of people”

I have spoken to many people from all walks of life, and they confirmed that public speaking was possibly their greatest fear….even talking about doing it made them become uneasy!

I wrote some article earlier about finding Inspiration and overcoming Procrastination by challenging our fears head on….this is what we must do to ensure a higher level of success in life…as there is no other way of doing it if we truly wish to succeed…

Our Greatest Challenge to being Popular We want to shine and to reveal our light to the world, though, we secretly fear rejection when we finally get up on the big stage and get to sing our song.

This two sides of our inner selves, is what I believe is a very powerful driving force in our quest to have a popular and successful blog.

We are driven forward by a mix of doubt and certainty of our ” deserving “ Success. It’s like we kind of know we have every right to be a success and to be more, and that we deserve more.

The Thought of being very popular can be a little overwhelming.

You also have to deal with the added work load as your website becomes increasingly popular…this is why I have mentioned the importance of proper time management for working on your website….

Not everyone craves the spotlight, and for those people a successful blog would possible bring with it feelings of stress and/or anxiety.

What I would like to say to those people is that you are not alone, as everybody experiences feelings of stress whenever they are in the spotlight….

All those famous people you see up on stage performing no matter who they are, will openly tell you that they are overcome with nerves before going out to perform….

They then put that nervous energy to great use, by using it “to energize “ their performance…….

You and I can do the same with our websites!

We can use that sense of ” Nervous Anticipation “ to give us the energy we need to work hard towards building ourselves a very popular and successful website….
