Next steps for NEW writers

THE BORING TRUTH:

I have often been told that I have a way with words. I have always been able to effectively convey what I am trying to say through writing or my wording. Although even being able to form legendary sentences out of words, sometimes there are just no words. Growing up I was never big on school learning or learning from teachers. My form of learning was mostly from music and movies. From a young age I was also exposed to a lot of adult like conversations by some very intelligent people as well as the opposite. This gave me a wide spectrum of words and different vocabulary as well as how these things were spoken. I have been able to pull from all different areas both good and bad to form my own way of speaking but more importantly writing.

WHY AND HOW I GOT HERE:

I would say about 2 months ago I decided I was going to look into freelance writing for another stream of passive income. This was an idea that was sparked from watching a YouTube video one day. The concept this creator portrayed just seemed to be so EASY and effortless but yet some how generate a steady flow of income each month or so he led his viewers to believe. I will go a little further into detail on his strategy he was using which statistically based on his provided screen shots seemed to have been working.. FOR HIM. So since I started writing and publishing my own stories I have continued researching and learning and I have taken that knowledge and formed my own glide path with small milestone goals in sight.

STEPS TO SUCCESS:

Now by no means is what I am going to list next the only or even the correct way but some of these items I have personally done within the last couple months and I have started to gain a little traction and my hope it will blossom into something great. Do the following and it can only help you succeed. I have a couple stories that you can also check out on marketing yourself and being productive that will help as well.

STUDY AND RESEARCH- There is SOOOO much information out in the world and at our finger tips. Sometimes its not always right in front of your face nor is it going to be spoon fed to you. Know what your questions are, know what your looking for and know what or who your competitors are. Do the leg work to find what works and what doesn't. A little data analysis never hurt in giving yourself a leg up in the race.

STRATEGIC MARKETING- Flood the internet with your product. This is one of those situations where more is better! Use all platforms available to you from ads to social media to making YouTube videos. The more of you that is out there, the higher probability of being seen or viewed. Strike while the iron is hot (its hot as internet traffic and people being online is at an all time high)

BE AUTHENTIC- It would be very easy to just research and see what works and copy that and wait and see if that works. Maybe.. It’s possible I guess. However how you unique would the world be if everything was the same? For example: Wouldn’t people lose interest watching Michael Jordan play Michael Jordan over and over? Michael Jordan was not only successful because he brought something to the table that nobody else did but also he was unique, original and authentic. Are you the Michael Jordan of your craft?

I could go on all day telling you everything that I have learned this far and everything I have achieved and how to do it. However, that would make my effort and all of my work that I have put into getting this far for nothing. I have met some criteria's, I am in the partner program, Google News had my story on their website and I am gaining regular viewership on multiple platforms. I also hope to achieve more but like all things you have to be willing to be the hardest worker in the room in order to succeed. Check out my other stories for some more information on the process.
