Here an inside view of one of my old poem from 14 years ago.
Freehand
Freehand expression is the expression of the soul. It is the way to create ideas, thoughts, and concepts. The mind is free to explore and to renew it once more. Expressions that are of freehand they express the mind and soul. These are the intimate feels and creativity that a person has. It shows others the heart to feel and the mind to think. It also shows the soul to reach out and the body to touch.

The poem above was written in 2006 in the fall. I was 20 years old at the time I was thinking about the concept of putting pen to paper. Going with the flow and being as exploring without being too precise in what I was expressing. 14 years later I would like to add more insight to this poem. It is about how deep freehand writing is to me at the time.
In the first line “Freehand expression is the expression of the soul.” That means it is the internal part of the person, their heart, their mind, and conscience. “It is the way to create ideas, thoughts, and concepts.” That is how people can experiment without trying to think about the outcome. In other words, create to create even if it is a failed project or experiment. In doing so you learn what did work and how to correct it.
The phrase “The mind is free to explore and to renew it once more.” is that the mind can find relaxation in freehand, it can help to solve problems and create solutions. This phrase “Expressions that are of freehand they express the mind and soul. “These are the intimate feels and creativity that a person has.” is to emphasize the importance that freehand is more important to the writer than the reader. The last lines are how the writer communicates to the readers from mental to physical.
Now after 14 years I believe I was too vague in the poem. I don’t know how to correct the poem, I don't even think it needs to be corrected. It was an experiment for me to let go and explore what my heart was telling me at the time. It was telling me writing without a plan can be a relief if I let it be. I hope in the future I can try more freehand writing without worrying.
