My writing Journey...
Vocal is the best place write
Just yesterday I posted my first story on vocal YAY it was truly terrifying but finally did it! I've always question myself, If I can do it or not because I kept thinking will someone even read it am I good enough?
How I found Vocal?
Well, Vocal was the one who found me it was Instagram and Facebook that captured my attention I saw it like three times and I was like maybe I will actually do it and for a change because of the recent events the black lives matter I wanted to voice my thoughts because I was just tired of seeing all the riots and looting that was going on when it is supposed to be peaceful but I am glad that it's becoming peaceful anyways yes off topic there for a little haha so yeah so far I am loving Vocal I love reading the stories it truly gives me inspiration to write a lot more and no it is not about the money that comes with it I read everything carefully and it is cool but not necessary for me vocal is about letting myself go because I have so much to say and can not wait to share in the near future!
What I hope to Achieve while writing for vocal?
I sure hope that I become a much better writer than I am now and I hope that whatever I write will Inspire Future writers as well because When I was reading stories I was like wow that person knows what they want the readers to read if that makes any sense like they know how to capture their attention that's what makes a good writer capturing a reader attention right? So that is what I hope to achieve while writing for vocal.
My background in writing:
I have always loved writing weather it was short stories, song lyrics, a full notebook of writing I was always doing it I still do I would always get asked what are you writing about ahaha but honestly it was just about anything if I was writing I was happy in school I was told I had the nicest handwriting I think it was because I was always doing it well that and I had a little time with a teacher aide with my writing while the other students were being taught something I couldn't understand Perks of having a learning disability I could learn faster with the learning material I could only understand which was writing and reading.
Advice for future writers:
Well, I am in no position to give advice yet because it is my second day writing on vocal BUT here is a freebie
Step One: Make an account for here obviously haha
Step Two: Know what you want to talk about the first one will be a little Intimidating but it's okay it will all get better trust me
Step Three: Create a safe space for yourself make sure you have these in handy...
.WATER... or any type of beverage...
.Headphones to listen to your favorite music or podcast...
.Your Laptop, phone, tablet (Ipad works as well), a computer to type on
Step Four: Be Your TRUE self this a complete safe space there is a lot of topics to choose from photography, Poetry all sorts of things!
Lastly share your work and consistently write, you can write two times a week or even more the main thing is that if it is your passion do it do not let anyone take your shine away
keep writing babes love ya - Abby
