My Trip to Ireland and UK

Landing in Dublin: My First Thoughts

Walking alone the streets of Dublin: Dame Lane

Here I must allow myself to let go and trust the intention of this journey. I have always felt a pull to come here, especially when I met Irish friends back in Canada. Something about their culture brought excitement to my being. I knew of the folklore and magic of the land but when the plane grounded on the tarmac my heart knew, I was home.

My soul knows of this place, my souls remembers something of my past life that my human is trying to comprehend. I am in deep trust that I am meant to be here.

Sometimes you wont know what is true to you until you realize the steps that were taken to bring you to this moment. Months ago I saw the date September 10, 2022 and I knew around that time I would be on the plane. What I didn’t realize until the night before that when purchasing my ticket my fly out date was September 10th. That when I messaged my friend living in Dublin that I would be arriving in 24 hours he gave no question and opened his home to me. That it took a friend getting her Jeep back and a road trip to her family home in Calgary (a story for another day) that would get me on a plane to Ireland.

With only 3 hours of rough sleep on the plane, I was welcomed to my friend with open arms. Walking me to his apartment then immediately insisting we head to a pub and have a pint. Why not I am in Ireland! I take my first sip of Guinness and wow how much better it is fresh here than it is from a can in Canada. A woman then comes around and asks to take a Polaroid picture of us to fund her visa to stay here, capturing my first moments of being here. A musician plugs in his guitar on the other side of the pub aand starts to play some Irish tunes. It’s starts to sink in that I am actually here, I have actually made it to Ireland.

However it wasn’t until we started taking a tour of the streets that it really starts to hit me.

Letting go of projections I put towards myself: the humour and conversations here forces you to forces to look at your insecurities and laugh about them

Pushing me to be bold: you are not usually seated at a pub or restaurant, pick your seat and go up to the bartender to order

Opening up my throat chakra: people here love to talk! So get that conversation flowing

No need to ask for permission: go out and explore! There is no shame in what I’m doing but just being me! It’s a place that holds so much beautiful ancient energy, tune into it!

The reflection: with the history this land has had, all I feel is joy! Walking through the streets of city central in Dublin, people sing, laugh, music just pouring of the pubs. It’s is all a reminder that no matter what has happened in the story of your life, you create your own happiness. Alchemizing the pain and turning it into music, culture, history a story to tell the world! This is a land of gaining independence and I am feeling that within myself!

Gaia speaks so strongly here: every time I go on a nature walk, a small fisher path opens up and I can feel the pull to go in that direction. Bushwhacking, climbing and taking me to the most epic trails and views. Bringing in trust that I will get through the challenge with an epic reward of beauty🧡
