My Ordeal

The most boring days of my life

By Omoge_SayoPublished 10 months ago 3 min read

It is that moment when your phone is stolen or your phone screen is faulty that is when you will know you are all alone in this world. On the 28th of February my phone screen got spoilt and I’ve been so lonely and angry because, why do my phone have to get faulty at the time, when I’m broke and dry like Sahara Desert. Today is the third day of me without phone and I’m still bored as fuck. I was actually reading “Adanna” a night before my phone got spoilt. I dream about it sometimes😪. Hmmmmm, I’m in a strange land ffs, I don’t have anybody to borrow his/her phone to beg to on hotspot for me so I can do my assignments, I’ve missed two assignments as it is at the moment and I’m not happy about it one bit. Tomorrow is Monday and I have a lot of things to do, first, tomorrow is my clearance and I know my fingerprint will give me issues, mtcheew. Then tomorrow, I have a class which I will not be able to attend because I don’t have data connection. Oh, If UBA decides to pay my allowee tomorrow I would go to MTN office to buy ‘Mifi’ so I will be able to use my laptop to attend classes, do my assignments and also surf the internet and watch movies to cool my brain. I don’t know how I’ve balanced myself to be a go to work, attend classes with lots of assignments, watch movies, lot of kdrama’s, lord, I’ve watched lots of kdrama’s this year. Back to reality, if they decide to pay my 33k tomorrow then I would be able to rush this assignment of a thing, so I will be able to meet up with the one they will give us on Monday that will take me two days to finish, omo no breathing space for Shittu Busayo. Now where do my enemies expect me to see money to get a new phone? To repair this phone now is another problem because I know the engineer will call one ridiculous amount of money for me since its Samsung product, old Samsung product o, I’m in soup, hot one for that matter. To get new phone, I need to have at least ℕ150k to get a new phone, to be honest, I want a bigger phone this time around, do I have the money? NO!!!!!! it is good to dream right? Yes, it is a free world to dream and imagine. Err, Samsung flip 4 will not be bad or iPhone xsmas. If only this people paid use 77k, chai, it would have been easy to save up to get a new phone sha. Now, few minutes before I started typing, I found out that, there’s is one money in my opay account that I did not put there before my phone got spoilt, I mean I had just one naira in the account before my phone got spoilt, now I’m seeing 5k, I mean im broke asf, omo I happy o, odindin 5k, me wey hunger wan kill for here. Omo, I wasted no time to go get bread and chilled miranda, me wey hunger wan injure for here before😂. Least I forgot, whosoever sent that money, I’m adding that person to my will, because that person saved me from sleeping on empty stomach this night. I’ve called the people I know that can send money to my account and they said they are not the ones that sent the money, toor, owo ti lo o. Oh, my friend, not so friend brought orange from Makurdi, life is good, loneliness don reduce to 60%. Today is the fourth day of me been phoneless, so today I woke up in a good mood, even though I did not have a good night rest. So, after a long day at the local government secretariat, due to my stubborn fingerprint that does not like to show, mtcheew, I left the secretariat few minutes to 2 in the afternoon under hot sun and heat, I saw hell. So, right after I went to GSM village to make an enquiry about my phone screen, to know the price, maybe I should save up for a new phone or just repair, but I will repair it, hmm ki ni ma se, my phone is my office. So i went to GSM village in lafia to repair my phone and I spent N20,000 naira to repair the screen, too expensive but my phone is back and i can continue my tech class. SEE YOU IN MY NEXT STORY.
