Mental awareness
bringing awareness to our feelings

This week I was contemplating on my past notes and writings. I generally write about how us humans perceive life and each other within life, but I’ve realized not once have I written about myself, I am more vocal than I have ever been in a decade which is something I have struggled with for a long time. It is easier to type than to vibrate my vocal cords and collaborate words together in English to attempt to explain my feelings and what I see and perceive in a way that others might understand.
This concept of using words to describe feeling to me is redundant. It’s way more efficient to feel feelings connecting with our feeling and also bringing awareness to our emotions within our feelings, it’s important for us to be able to distinguish the two.
Unfortunately, <(perceived), I feel like we are so disconnected with our feelings lately, our lives have become so busy and fast paced that we don’t have time to stop and pause, take a step back and feel everything there is to feel in the present moment of our surroundings. Right there I tried to use an analogy of time without changing how fast time goes. We all have the same amount of time and ironically all our perceptions of time are completely different.
We all travel so differently <(perceived), some of us fly passing through our surroundings oblivious to their detail. Some of us travel a little slower, empathic to all of our surroundings and slowly gliding our fingers across the rough and rugged wood and stone as though we were reading braille, as though we were feeling our feelings with our eyes closed in real time.
One of my biggest farfetched <(perceived) goals is human connection, in short, bringing us all on the same page traveling at the same pace in time so we can finally understand each other without the need for attempting to vocally use words to describe feelings which is once again, redundant.
Some of you reading this might be thinking of telepathy which I’ll say yes and no. This is not my intention other than the only descriptive word I can think of. Meditation or a state of hypnosis might be more accurate here. Since all of us walk different paths at different paces we will never be able to understand each other feelings, ever. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to communicate with each other which we have become terrible at doing from our lack of patience.
To try and put this as simply as I can with the vocabulary I have on my belt, it might be easier for some of us if not all of us to turn to the same page to slow down, close our eyes, really dive in to our 5 senses as slow as possible to experience everything there is to experience
Close your eyes so we can see past our own perceptions and see ourselves and others from a bird’s eye view
Taking our focus to our breath, breathing in slowly and smelling our surrounding in the present moment
Intently listen to our surrounding and letting these experiences go like catch and release
Take a moment to feel what its like to touch the ground you’re standing on and feel the gaps and spaces or your surroundings
We taste our experiences. We can’t taste anyone else experience, but we can do our best to share them and communicate them
I’m not saying flying through life like a cheetah is a bad thing, but it may help us to better understand ourselves and others by slowing down and bring awareness to what us and others are experiencing
