Magical Eggs

The White EggI always believed an egg was more than something you cracked for breakfast. To me, it was a quiet little world, a sealed circle that held its own breath and its own secrets. Most people look at an egg and see food. I look at it and see a doorway, a place where energy settles, waiting for the right hands and the right whisper.

In white magic, the old kind my gran used to talk about while stirring her tea, eggs were used to pull out the things you didn’t want—heavy thoughts, aching fears, and the shadows that cling to your chest. She always said an egg could hold a story if you asked it to, and it would never argue.

I still remember her teaching me. Her fingers were steady, her voice low, as if she was talking to someone no one else could see. She told me the shell is a shield, the inside is a mirror, and the whole thing is a promise. A promise that magic doesn’t need noise, only intention.

A Simple Cleansing Egg Spell

To cleanse yourself the way Gran showed me, you take one fresh hen’s egg and hold it in your hands. You let the warmth from your palms wake it up, then you breathe your day into it—every worry, every sharp edge, every thought that wouldn’t leave you alone.

You move the egg to your forehead, then your heart, then your stomach, following the same path your feelings take when they rise, fall, and settle. Then you whisper:

Take what is heavy,

leave what is true,

hold my darkness,

and let me walk new.

After that, you place the egg somewhere the night can touch it—a windowsill or a quiet corner where moonlight rests without a sound. In the morning, you bury it in the soil, unbroken, and walk away. Gran always said the earth finishes what you started.

The Love Egg Spell

Gran also taught me another use for an egg, one she only shared when she felt I was ready. Love magic, she said, had to be gentle. Never forced, never greedy—just an honest doorway for the heart to speak.

For this one, she lit a pink candle, nothing too bright, just a calm little flame. She said love listens better when you aren’t shouting for it.

You start with a fresh hen’s egg warmed in your hands until it knows your pulse. On one side you write your name with a pencil, and on the other, the name of the person you care for—or simply the word love if you’re still waiting for your heart to find its place.

You hold the egg against your chest and say:

Let my heart be clear,

let my path be kind,

let love find its way to me,

in its own time.

Then you set the egg beside the pink candle and let the flame burn down on its own. When it finishes, you bury the egg near flowers or a tree—somewhere that already understands how to grow.

Gran swore the earth understands love better than people do. It takes something small and turns it into something warm. And every time I’ve done this spell, I’ve felt that little shift inside me, like a door opening quietly, letting in a bit of light I didn’t know I needed.

So I have tried a few egg spells, they do work too. I have done them so I know all about the powers of the chicken egg. I you try this please let me know the out come good or bad. I sincerely hope it’s good for you with all my heart.
