Be a Man!
First things first: Let's rip off the band-aid. I'm transgender—female to male—and have been passing for a little over a year now. If you're unfamiliar with the term "passing," it simply means that I resemble the gender that I feel is most right for me. In this case, I look like a male and no one questions that I am one. Mostly this is an excellent thing because I have been wanting this for many years and finally I don't have to deal with people mistaking me for a woman. It's awesome.

Look To Your Writers
If you’re a writer, it seems it’s getting harder to become noticed in the world of prose. Often times, it gets overlooked online if it isn’t in physical form. You go to a bookstore to read or buy books, to hold and put on tables or shelves. You can’t exactly do that with online writing. It just feels good to have something in your hands that’s written, and I get that so so much. I can’t necessarily say that’s why perhaps us writers online get unnoticed (it could also be very much a popularity standpoint or a career aspect), but it’s the same sense as with any small time creator. So many creators get lost who have tremendous talent, but it seems that unless you’re a big name, have money, or are just generally popular among fandom or websites, it’s sometimes very hard to get a foot in the door.

Email From Hell. Top Story - February 2018.
I moved to Chicago in January 2017 after having already been unemployed for a little over four months. I quit my old job in New York City in August 2016 while I planned to move back to the Midwest. I lived with different family members while I job hunted—a process that took a lot longer than I thought it would. Needless to say, those four months were really tough.

Why Is It Easier to Write Stories With a Very Saddened Character Than With a Happy Character?
I have written quite a few books/stories and lately, I have realised that most of my main characters have some sort of dark, depressed side to them. Writing my characters and their stories are so easy and free-flowing but when I started a new book, I wanted my character to be so free-spirited and uplifting, yet, it's been so hard to even start! I spent months planning it and normally I would be quite far into the storyline in the time it has taken me to write the first chapter!

The Grind
There I was at the bottom, 25 years old, no career and fresh off a divorce. Prior to that I chased down a Real Estate career in a major Metropolitan area and came up empty, never sold a thing. I delivered pizza for a few years, quitting here and there only to go crawling back begging for the job again. I had to dress up in a giant rabbit, mascot-type outfit at a kid’s pizza party. Yes, a new low there. Most of my jobs were stints at menial task labor and lasted anywhere from 4-6 months and always ended with me just walking out. The most difficult thing I had to do was go back to pick up my last check, another tail between my legs endeavor.

Bullying in the workplace is alive and well and has been for decades and even longer. It's only been up until recently that this sad and tragic epidemic has come into focus in large part due to the toll it has taken mentally, physically, and emotionally on millions around the world.
