Nail Technicians
There's been a video going around on Twitter of a nail technician being verbally harassed by a White woman as she was getting her nails done. The video shows the woman stating that the nail tech needed to "learn English." The thing is, though, this is not an uncommon thing that is continuously going on every day.

I Tried J+S Blue Light Glasses and Here's How Much They Changed the Way I Work. Top Story - June 2018.
As a newcomer to the workforce, I had no idea the effect staring at a computer screen all day would really have on my eyes. I mean, sure, I used my laptop a lot in college, but certainly not eight hours a day, five days a week. Needless to say, the transition has been jarring on my poor eyes (and body, but that's a whole other story). For months now I've been coming home every day and feeling like if I even so much as glance at another screen, my eyes will literally fall out of my head (it's fine, I'm fine). They simply can't handle the strain of staring at my computer screen any longer. The headaches and lack of sleep? I'm so over it.

Design Clients' Bad Wrap
Through the internet, you find a plethora of articles and posts inciting ideas of designers being hard done by. You hear of clients asking for infinite edits, many of which are supposedly stupid in the eyes of designers. But, after working in the design field for a bit over half a decade, I'm starting to think it's not as common as it sounds, and might be an issue of pride, or reevaluation.

5 Steps to Finally Finishing Your Novel's First Draft
I have told myself since I was young that once day I would become an author of a book. I dreamed about the stories I would tell and the endless possibilities for writing. Throughout the years I have started novels on those rainy days when there is nothing to do. However, I would rarely come back to them. Life would always get in the way and soon I would lose interest. Despite this, my dream of being an author has been something that has never changed. I always come back to it as the only thing I could ever truly see myself doing. It is true, writing isn't always the easiest industry to break into. I eventually told myself that unless I actually complete writing pieces, I am never going to actually be a writer. Some time ago, I got inspiration for a novel and I knew that if I was going to become a writer, this would be the story I wanted to tell first. Recently after much self discipline, I was able to finally complete my first draft. Through the journey of writing a novel, I definitely learned some lessons along the way. Below are five things I learned when writing the first draft of my novel. If you are starting out this journey yourself, I hope what I learned will be helpful to you.

10 Best Journals and Planners for Productivity
I was the most disorganized person ever. I'd forget events, did last minute assignments, missed my appointments, and forgot literally everything else because work was taking over my life. It would usually be really tough for me to be productive whenever it was my busy season. I wouldn't be productive to the point where I couldn't complete simple tasks like cleaning around in my apartment.

The Day I Danced Freely
I graduated college a year, one month, and one day ago. It's been a struggle. I got a B.S in Mass Communications, emphasis in Electronic Media. My goal is to work for an online media company such as Buzzfeed or companies like Conde Nast. If you don't know Conde Nast Entertainment, I got one hashtag for you...#HurtBae.

Advice from a Failed Comedian
My name is Jackson Curtin, and odds are you've never heard of me. For five years I dedicated my life to honing a craft that I loved dearly. I always had a penchant for performing; from being in terrible bands in High School, to acting in terrible short films in college. For a long time I had thought I had finally found my calling with stand up. The problem being I wasn't wrong.

The First Chapter
My wife and I are a part of a church plant in a small town in my little valley. If anyone knows anything about planting a church, it's that your numbers are small when you start. With small attendance, comes a tendency to know everyone. So, this couple comes for the first time and nothing exceptional happens. I am an introvert (INTJ, if you're interested), and I struggle with anxiety and depression regularly, so there wasn't a chance I was going up to talk to them.
