Why Are Artist Commissions Hard?
So, to start things off, what are artist commissions? Basically, you'll pay an artist to create a work of art in their medium choice. Typically, if it's on the internet, it's digital commissions. I happen to do this myself. The mediums I chose are traditional pen, paper, and colored pencils or markers, and the most popular: digital media. You may have many questions still, and hopefully I'll answer them, so let's dive on in and learn something new!

Commercial Impact Is No Longer Enough
I've been consistently of the view that, especially over the last 5 years, businesses must ensure that they focus on being socially conscious if they want to maximise their appeal to consumers. My basis for this is primarily, amongst other things, the interest that so many people share in social outcomes based on their vicarious connectedness, through social media especially.

Checking the Volunteers
The volunteer in the amateur boxing class I coach admonished one of the kids for not having their mouthpiece in properly during a sparring session. Later, their parent came to me concerned that the volunteer had been too harsh on their kid. I thought everything was smoothed out after our conversation. The next day when I came to work, my supervisor told me the parent had contacted them hours earlier to complain about the volunteer. I was told in so many words that I needed to keep the volunteer in check.

Nursing, a Noble Profession
Nursing, a Noble Profession The Nursing Profession is growing by leaps and bounds. I retired after 40-years of nursing. I enjoyed taking care of patients, and there was not a day that passed that I learned something new from those I worked with and my employers. However, it was also time to make a change and take life a bit easier.

Why GDPR Is Good for Your Mental Wellbeing
Over the past few weeks, I have been getting a stream of emails into my inbox with various themed titles. From a gentle “Hello Verity, just a friendly reminder” to a slightly desperate “We don’t want to lose you“ and the downright aggressive “Are you in or out?”

Traditional Media Vs. New Media
What is the best way to advertise for a company? This might be the most common question asked by new business owners. It is not as simple as it sounds because if the wrong advertising method is used, the entire business could suffer in turn. The number of different types of advertising can be intimidating as well to someone inexperienced in the field. For this paper we will solely focus on advertising, and while marketing will be mentioned there will be no use of it. Advertising requires a company to take their target clients' demographics, the budget of the advertisement, the usefulness of the business, and how the advertisement will be remembered.

Submission Steps for 'How To Give Bullies What They Deserve'
I have to submit this book to my literary agent soon. The process begins with a query letter sent by email. You then attach your book proposal as a Word file including a 1-4 page overview of your book. I don’t know what having “information about your author platform” means but I may have to email the agency for more details on this. I have a business plan/promotional/marketing plan ready to go. Chapter summaries need to be written and two sample chapters attached. I also need to go over my citations for a book I have on manipulative people called In Sheep’s Clothing.

24 and Unemployable
As a child, I had always enjoyed many different activities and had a wide array of interests. I wanted to be an artist so spent hours creating what my father said were masterpieces. I wanted to be a dancer so my mother enrolled me in dance classes and devoted her weekends to watching me on the benches. I wanted to become a musician so got a little acoustic guitar and went to lessons. I wanted to be a fashion designer so cut up all my clothes and tried to hot glue them back together adding every embellishment you could think of. As a child I had many creative dreams. I was an only child and loved to spend hours on my own creating and making things. My mother and father were very supportive of that and I thank them very much for this.
