Should Actors Get Tattoos
"Think twice before you get that tattoo!" I was told many times. I was also told that I would never get any casting if I had any tattoos. It was very discouraging hearing this from close friends or fellow colleagues. But, they were wrong. My advice is, if you do hear such a thing, ignore their words. Your mission in your acting career is to find where you stand as an individual and what work you are going for. For years I have feared that my tattoos would only get in the way of castings. For a time being, they were. It was just extra work they had to do to cover them up or adjust fittings to cover them up. Then I realized that maybe I was going into work I just wasn't comfortable doing. I needed to find castings that will appreciate my canvas alongside my performance. Although, this was challenging. Auditions rarely ask for talent with existing tattoos, but it never stopped me from being an actor.

How I Became a Successful Business Woman
I left school at 15 with some GCSE’s but being dyslexic I was told I probably wouldn’t amount to much anyway so why bother. I got a job and I started at college for three years, which I did both full-time. I did hair and beauty for the first year and art and design for the last two. I wanted to become a fashion designer that was my calling in life, my room was always piled high with art books and designs, I was always making things and I just never knew what to do with them. I did all this while I became a manager at my job.

Lessons from Entrepreneurship
My entrepreneur journey officially began in 2012 as a freelance photographer, but as most entrepreneurs would say, it’s in my blood. It wasn’t until 2015 that I decided to take the legal steps to form my first company, Penny Jarr Designs. The entrepreneur spark caught fire in 2016 when I officially launched the first version of SuperArtist HQ and DIYvinci. SuperArtist HQ eventually was shut down and I now own only DIYvinci and Penny Jarr Designs which has been renamed Penny Jarr Studio.

Why Writing Tenders Will Never Be the Same Again!
Writing tenders is a strictly matter where “how to write” is about as important as “what to write”. This is why organisations invest in experienced technical writers for producing compelling proposals that are well-structured, lawfully accurate and address the other company’s policies in a simplistic layman’s writing style.

The Importance of Being Your Best Self at Work
Stimulate your enthusiasm. Creating a comfortable working environment helps employees feel more comfortable. An active work environment also helps promote social interaction and active communication among colleagues. Employers can stimulate enthusiasm by encouraging gratitude, laughing, and using positive information. Use health challenges to improve employees’ health and wellbeing. Rather than just focusing on health issues at the individual level, we begin to create team health issues. For example, the Team Walk Challenge, challenges colleagues to come together and compete as a team, taking more steps per month than other teams. The Daily Walking Club is another great idea that can also be used to promote professional connections.

Remember, money comes and goes in a cycle, you will spend it then earn it back, but you can't do the same with any sort of relationship.
