Jeremy Seidman Talks About The Benefits of Running A Remote Business
By: Jeremy Seidman

Remote working has been on the rise since the pandemic started and has continued to be a trend in the business community. People were stuck in their homes working and or off work and had trouble transitioning back into their job environments. Remote businesses were able to skyrocket as everyone was looking for stay-at-home jobs. Yes, there are some challenges to running a remote business, but also some great benefits. Jeremy Seidman will discuss some of the benefits of running a remote business.
Boost in Productivity
Working from home, you would think, would make people less productive, but in turn, it has boosted productivity. There are many reasons, such as not being distracted by other workers in the office; it improves morale and creates a better overall work-life balance. People don’t feel confined and watched at home, so they feel more relaxed and want to get stuff done. They are free to do some at-home stuff while on break and have lunch in their kitchen, which creates a feeling of peace. This is not the case for all people; some people need that office space and working environment to get stuff done, but as long as you help your employees figure out what works for them, you can have a great remote team.
Reduced Costs
When running an office, you need tons of things, from printers, photocopiers, stationery, computers, etc. Once you have a remote team, you would no longer need most of the things you would typically need as the workers would use their stuff from home. You can provide people with computers or laptops, but if they prefer to use their own, that is another reduction in cost for you. You can choose what you want to provide for your employees or even offer gift cards to places where they need stuff so they can pick and choose what they need for their stay-at-home office.
Lower Turnover
Again, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people had to accept that working from home was their new option. Once they had to return to the work environment, many people left their jobs to find work-from-home jobs. Remote businesses create flexibility in the workers’ lives, which is a massive benefit for them and makes them want to stay in that healthy work environment. This also helps people who may not live in the area or want to move. If they can stay with their job and live where they want, it gives them a sense of freedom to live without a job space holding them down.
More Talent
Running your business online creates a considerable talent pool for your business. Whenever you need to hire someone, you will have way more options than you ever would running a physical business. If your business doesn’t need in-state workers, you can hire from all over the US, which gives you options for some of the best talent for your team.
Less Time Off
When working in the physical workspace, people always call off or take time off or can’t come in due to emergencies or being sick. When running a remote business, you get significantly fewer people calling off or being late because of how flexible the work environment is. Not being in the office with other people reduces people getting sick, which will reduce people calling off. As well as, if people can make their schedule, they can work around appointments and vacations and still get the work done in time.
