HOW THE EMPLOYEE TURNS TO ENTREPRENEAR

Hi Fellows,

I am Senthil Kumar from Chennai and I am running clothing brand called “TEEZTOTALLER”.

In this story I have explained how I started my own Brand from 9-7 job regular job. It was a brave decision from my side coz I have family who depends by me. So I should earn for them.

Basically I am Graphic artist and was working in MNC. Almost 12 years working in a same organization but different levels. After 10 years I had some thought in my mind and why don’t we started our own company instead of working regular jobs. As a employee I had all freedoms and working with funs and got paycheck regularly. But on a career side I felt like I am not satisfying. At one point of time I realized that’s I don’t recognized from the company, Every organization has some protocals for all promotion and hikes. But I don’t get into very deep however we just work for make financial freedom and family feeds. I was doing work like machine not full satisfied.

I discussed with my family for relieving the job and started my own journey. As usual few of them didn’t accept the decision but the few who’s behind me and always supported me. So I made decision to move as entrepreneur.

The Day I was leaving from the company after 12 beautiful years for tenure it’s just unbelievable moment. But sometimes life has to go on.

One great quote I use every time “You cannot grows if you stays in comfort zone”. This was always alarming in my mind.

Next step I have to choose the field so I was searching which business make me more comfortable and reliable. I was searching food business and Clothing business.

At that time The Custom T-shirt Printing was boomed up and it was so exciting me. So I started following few YouTube channel and learning Custom printing apparently. I used to see more than 50 videos on YouTube in a day and learning all techniques about t-shirt printing business. This all happened Pre COVID because of I had opportunity work from home.

I used that opportunity and started searching resources for my business. My shift hours between 6-3pm. I was logged in shift hours work for company then I started searching equipment’s, vendors, process etc…

Six months I got the opportunity WFH so I utilized non-working hours and used to develop myy knowledge about the business and make my dreams come true. I was following few YouTube channel and reading blogs to strong about the process. I was very curious about learning new things and I am very passionate about this business.

Parallelly I have enquired lot of vendors and companies about process all other equipment’s.

After Six months I came to the proper decision and started investing money for purchasing Equipment’s.

I went other states and districts in Tamilnadu to meet vendors and suppliers during my week offs. I simply utilized for my business in the idle timings. Almost a year I was spending to build my startup. I got some loans and borrow some moneys from my relatives and purchased everything and finally moved to test phase.

The custom t-shirt printing has multiple methods and I learnt all methods during that one year period and spending & wasting most of the money for that learnings. Cos I don’t have business background and no one ready for teaching the business. The interesting thing is “I am the first generation entrepreneur”.

The business take off could be little bit hard. 3-4 Months did testing phase for checking printing quality and wash ability testing everything.

Finally we started to do live orders. Rec’d 100 t-shirts with company logo printing and could be easy single color process. Client were so happy on the first order we were done extraordinary. We have done with positive note.

My dreams started from there. Now almost 2.5 years in this journey and orders are keep coming gradually. I really glad to share my Journey.
