The long-awaited day is finally here.

Oh wow! How swiftly the year has flown by.

Oh my, it feels like just yesterday we welcomed 2024.

Oh well, time never waits for anyone, does it?

Different expressions, but the truth resonates with both perspectives. 2024 has passed, and here we are, staring at the first day of 2025. This is the moment when I reflect on 2024, bringing forth a mix of emotions:

"Oh, I should have done it."

"It was an amazing year."

"Next year for sure, I will do it."

"If only I had started earlier, I'd be so much further along."

"I wish I had spent more time with my loved ones."

And so, the thoughts go on…

Let us all pause and gather our thoughts. This is the beginning of a new journey. I may not have had the best 2024, but I can certainly make 2025 my best year yet. I may not have been the person I wanted to be last year, but I can become the most amazing version of myself now.

2024 has flown by, and 2025 is here. Life moves on, but the direction it takes is entirely up to us. I am content with my achievements last year and eager to set even loftier goals for this one. I will dedicate extra effort to the areas where I fell short.

My 2024 Snapshot

Last year was a whirlwind! I faced numerous challenges, overcame many, and am still navigating a few. Despite the hurdles, I accomplished a lot. My primary focus was on skill development, securing a new career opportunity, improving our home, and ensuring my sisters received excellent educations.

For the first time in a long while, I spent over a month with my parents, cherishing precious family time. Home renovations commenced, with plans to complete it by mid of 2025. Both my sisters are pursuing their Masters degrees, and I actively supported their academic journeys. I was finally able to afford meaningful gifts for my parents and sisters. This one I am really proud of as I connect the dots.

I upgraded my workspace with a dual-monitor setup. While writing on Vocal Media took a backseat due to other commitments, I am proud to have continued this habit. I reconnected with my professors after a four year break by visiting my alma mater. I also began advising a budding startup from my institute, sharing my experience with them.

My career took a positive turn with a new role offering better opportunities and growth. I gifted myself a blazer and a two-piece suit for formal occasions. I have started working on a personal YouTube channel, slated for launch in February 2025. During a trip to Guwahati, Assam, I learned to cook a few Indian dishes. I also forged meaningful friendships with people from Manipur, Delhi, and Bihar.

Areas for Improvement

I started learning Malayalam but struggled with consistency. My writing on Vocal Media also lacked regularity. These areas will be my primary focus in 2025.

My 2025 Plan

2025 IS THE YEAR. The year when the world will remember me for my actions. The year I will be proud of myself. I will set my goals, face them head-on, and let nothing hold me back. I firmly believe I was given this incredible human life for a reason, and I will fulfill that purpose with pride.

Now, it's time for resolutions. Every year, millions of us make promises to ourselves, resolutions to change, goals to achieve, improve, or accomplish something meaningful. But let's face it, how often do we stick to them? This year, I'm not just making resolutions, I'm committing to them. My resolutions will focus on both personal and professional growth, and I'll approach them with determination and consistency. I will ensure that I keep trying, keep moving forward, and continue evolving into the best version of myself. This year, in addition to my professional growth, I'll prioritize dedicating more time to my writing and enhancing my soft skills.

Key Goals:

  • Complete the home renovation project.
  • Purchase a laptop for my younger sister.
  • Embark on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya with my family.
  • Write regularly on Vocal Media
  • Launch my YouTube channel and reach 5000 subscribers.
  • Acquire advanced project management skills.
  • Sharpen my soft skills.
  • Take a well-deserved vacation to a tourist destination.
  • Prioritize professional growth and quality family time.

Remember, 2025 will pass, and before we know it, we'll be staring at the first of January 2026, probably with the same mix of emotions. So, let's break the cycle. Resolutions aren't just words scribbled on paper or thoughts in the air; they're commitments to ourselves. It's easy to fall into the trap of procrastination or let life's chaos push our goals aside. But this time, let's promise to act, even if it's one small step at a time. Let's hold ourselves accountable and ensure that when 2026 arrives, we're looking back with pride, not regret. So, get up, take charge, and start now, because the clock is already ticking.

Let's make 2025 the most amazing year of our lives.
