Freecash Review 2025: Is It Still Worth Using to Earn Extra Money?

After two years of using Freecash, here's what I've learned - earnings, updates, pros and cons.

By JohnPublished 8 months ago 7 min read

Back in 2023, I wrote this review about Freecash, one of the more popular GPT (Get-Paid-To) platforms, to find out if it was legit, whether it actually paid out, and to share a quick guide for anyone curious about giving it a try. If you’d like to test it for yourself, you can sign up by clicking here, and when you do, you’ll receive a free welcome bonus ranging from $0.05 up to $250 (new users only).

After trying it myself, I found that Freecash actually delivered. Not in a “quit your job and get rich” kind of way, but in a surprisingly consistent, low-effort way to earn some side cash. Fast-forward to 2025, and I’ve quietly kept using it on and off. So I figured it was time for an update:

Is Freecash still worth it? Is it still paying? Has anything changed?

A Quick Refresher: What Is Freecash?

If you’ve never heard of it, Freecash is a GPT, Get-Paid-To, platform that pays you for completing various tasks — things like:

  • Taking surveys
  • Playing mobile games
  • Signing up for apps or services
  • Watching videos
  • Daily bonuses

In return, you earn coins, which can be converted into PayPal cash, crypto, gift cards, or other digital rewards. 1,000 coins equal $1, so it’s easy to keep track of your earnings. Freecash is completely free to use, there’s no subscription model, and you don’t need to spend money to start earning.

My First Impressions vs Now

When I first joined, I thought the UI looked clean, the payout options were diverse, the offers and surveys had high payout rates, and there were lots to choose from. More importantly — I got paid — fast. That was really what set Freecash apart for me early on. I was mostly doing surveys and game offers, and I was impressed by how fast and easy it was to cash out to PayPal the first time.

Now in 2025, I’ve noticed the platform has grown a bit and improved in a few areas:

  • Cleaned up and modernized user interface — Easier to navigate and more enjoyable, both on the web and in the mobile app.
  • More survey options — A wider selection of surveys is now available more frequently, with better matching and payouts that make it easier to earn steadily.
  • Survey disqualification rewards — When disqualified from a survey, users now get a chance to win a small reward between 5 and 1,000 coins, just for attempting.
  • More offer variety — New types of tasks and apps are added regularly to keep things fresh.
  • Expanded offer walls — More providers and earning options, with a wider range of tasks to choose from.
  • More consistent high-paying offers — Higher-value tasks are easier to find now, making your time feel more rewarded.

And the features that made Freecash stand out continue to deliver:

  • Streak Rewards - Each day you log in and earn at least $1 (1,000 coins), you unlock a small reward. Rewards increase daily — starting from $0.03 and climbing to $0.80 by day six. On day seven, you receive a special case with a chance to win up to $150. After that, the streak resets and you can start again. It’s a fun way to earn steady bonuses just by staying active.
Streak Rewards give daily bonuses for consistent activity.
  • Daily Bonus Ladder - The Daily Bonus Ladder offers a daily chance to win coins through a “claim or double” system, starting at 25 coins for low-level users and up to 100 for higher levels. Rewards can climb as high as 12,800 coins ($12.80) or 51,200 coins ($51.20), depending on user level. Extra ladders are also unlocked by completing offers or surveys worth at least 1,000 coins.
Daily Bonus Ladder
  • Leaderboards - Top earners compete on daily and monthly leaderboards, with bonus rewards for the top 1,000 users. The daily leaderboard resets every 24 hours, awarding $50, $35, and $17.50 to the top three. Monthly prizes are larger, with $500, $350, and $175 for the top three spots. This system rewards consistent activity and adds an exciting competitive edge.
Leaderboard rewards
  • Fast and reliable cashouts - Withdrawals are one of the things Freecash continues to do really well, allowing users to redeem coins for PayPal, crypto, and popular gift cards once the minimum payout is reached. Most cashouts are processed quickly, often within minutes. However, since 2023, some payout options, like Steam and PlayStation gift cards, as well as in-game skins for Valorant and Counter-Strike, have been removed.
Coins can be exchanged for PayPal cash, cryptocurrencies, and various gift cards.
  • Promo Codes - Freecash sometimes shares promo codes on their social media channels, offering users bonus coins. When I first started, these were posted at least three times a week, but now they appear less regularly, which is a bit disappointing. The codes are typically available for a short time, making them limited-time opportunities that add an extra layer of rewards for those who catch them.
Freecash posts limited-time promo codes from time to time on social media.

My Personal Strategy

I’ve been using Freecash for a while now, and over time, I’ve learned what really works best for me when it comes to maximizing earnings:

Game Offers

These are my go-to. Some mobile games pay out as you hit different level milestones. I pick the ones I’d actually enjoy and just chip away at them during downtime (on the train, during lunch, etc.). The best part? Some games can pay hundreds or even close to a thousand dollars if you stick with them. I usually look for games that offer good payouts to make the effort worthwhile.

Surveys

Similar to game offers, I usually do surveys when I have some downtime or need a quick way to earn coins without much effort. I tend to pick those that offer decent payouts and don’t take too long to complete. Surveys can be hit or miss, depending on how patient you are. Over time, I’ve learned it pays off to take your time and answer truthfully to avoid getting disqualified. And even when I do get disqualified, usually due to demographic reasons or not matching the survey profile, the platform sometimes rewards you with a small consolation prize just for trying, which is a nice bonus.

Even when disqualified from a survey, users can receive a small reward with a chance to get up to 1,000 coins.

Offer Walls

Every so often, I scroll through the offer walls to spot other games or surveys, since they often include those as well. Offer walls also feature a variety of tasks like app downloads, free trials, and watching short videos. One of my favorite ways to earn passively is by watching clips through platforms like Cheddar.tv and PixelPoint.tv. These third-party partners offer relatively easy and low-effort ways to accumulate coins while I’m doing other things.

Daily Streak Reward & Daily Bonus Ladder

Every now and then, when I have some free time, I try to earn at least 1,000 coins each day to claim the daily streak reward, aiming to reach day seven and open the final case, with the hope of getting a big prize. It’s a great way to stay consistent and have a chance at winning a valuable reward.

As for the Daily Bonus Ladder, I don’t think it’s worth risking a climb for a bigger prize since the chance of losing it all is just as high. Personally, I find it better to simply claim the daily coins, especially as a higher-level user getting 100 coins a day, since it’s a guaranteed and effortless way to boost my earnings.

Leaderboards

Even though I’m not always directly aiming for the top 1,000 spots on the leaderboards, I naturally stay competitive when I focus on earning through game offers, surveys, or watching clips. My strategy is to take advantage of opportunities to earn more whenever they come up, which often helps me climb the daily and monthly rankings without extra effort.

Promo Codes

I personally follow their accounts, so whenever I get a notification about a new code drop, I can quickly redeem it and collect some free coins. I definitely recommend doing the same if you want to make the most of these extra rewards.

My Freecash Earnings So Far

I won’t pretend I’ve made a massive amount, but I’ve earned $2,898.44 since I started — not bad considering it’s all been done in my free time with minimal effort. It’s not life-changing money, but it covers things like digital subscriptions, small purchases, and gift cards, with zero investment.

I usually stick to PayPal or gift cards for withdrawals, and both have been extremely fast — most within minutes.

Is Freecash Still worth it in 2025?

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: It’s still one of the most reliable GPT platforms I’ve used and here’s why:

  • Fast and reliable payouts
  • Multiple payout options (PayPal, crypto, gift cards)
  • Low minimum payout threshold
  • Variety of earning methods (such as surveys, game offers, videos)
  • High payout rates
  • Daily bonuses and leaderboard rewards
  • Promo codes and updates

As of 2025, Freecash continues to maintain an excellent reputation on Trustpilot, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5, based on over 177,000 user reviews. That level of consistency says a lot about how the platform is perceived by its users — reliable, rewarding, and trusted.

Freecash has a 4.7/5 star rating on TrustPilot at the time of writing.

If you’re expecting to make a living from Freecash — no, it’s not that kind of platform. But if you want a reliable, low-effort way to earn $5–$50 per month (or more, if you grind), then yes, it’s 100% still worth it.

Final Thoughts

After two years of using it, Freecash has become one of my favorite GPT sites I still actively use today. It’s reliable, offers high payouts, fast withdrawals, and a variety of ways to earn. While it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme, it rewards patience and consistency.

If you’re interested, you can explore the platform here. By signing up through my link, new users have a chance to receive a welcome bonus ranging from $0.05 up to $250. I recommend taking some time to discover all the ways to earn, whether through offers, surveys, or games, to see which earning methods suit you. And who knows, maybe your next coffee, digital subscription, or even a pair of headphones will pay for itself.

For those who have tried Freecash, I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments. What worked for you? What didn’t?

I tried Freecash back in 2023 and was impressed with its payouts. Now in 2025, it's grown and improved. The UI's cleaner, there are more survey options. Wondering if the payout rates are still as good? Gonna keep using it to find out. It's great that it's still free and offers diverse rewards. I'm curious if the new growth has led to any changes in the quality of tasks. Have you noticed anything different about the offers lately?
