For With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible
With God Nothing Impossible
For With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible
— Luke 1:37 (KJV)
In a world filled with limitations, disappointments, and impossibilities, there is a divine truth that stands firm across time and eternity: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
These were the angel Gabriel’s words to Mary when she was told she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Son of God, despite being a virgin. From a human perspective, it was biologically impossible—but God does not operate within human constraints. This single verse carries the weight of heaven's assurance and serves as a foundation for unshakeable faith.
1. The Nature of God Makes the Impossible Possible
God is omnipotent—all-powerful. Nothing can limit Him.
“Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”
— Jeremiah 32:17 (KJV)
God, who created the universe out of nothing, can certainly intervene in our lives. He can make a way where there is no way. Whether it’s a health report, a financial struggle, a broken relationship, or an uncertain future—He is not bound by what binds us.
2. Historical Testimonies of the Impossible Made Possible
Abraham and Sarah
God promised them a son in their old age. Sarah laughed at first because it was naturally impossible. But God responded:
“Is any thing too hard for the Lord?”
— Genesis 18:14 (KJV)
And indeed, Isaac was born—proof that God's promises are not subject to time or biology.
The Red Sea
When the Israelites were trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea, God made a way:
“And the Lord caused the sea to go back... and the waters were divided.”
— Exodus 14:21 (KJV)
What was certain death became miraculous deliverance. God specializes in turning dead ends into doorways.
3. Jesus Affirms This in the New Testament
Jesus consistently demonstrated that what is impossible with man is possible with God.
“With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”
— Mark 10:27 (KJV)
Whether it was turning water into wine, healing the blind, walking on water, or raising the dead—Jesus’ life was a continual testimony to this truth.
Even in moments of human weakness, He challenged faith:
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
— Mark 9:23 (KJV)
Faith is the key that unlocks the door to divine possibility.
4. Paul’s Testimony: Strength in Weakness
Paul, who suffered greatly for the gospel, knew what it meant to face hardship. Yet he declared:
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
— Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
His strength came not from his own ability but from divine empowerment. God doesn't need your strength—He needs your surrender.
5. What Does This Mean for You Today?
You may be facing:
A situation that feels hopeless
A dream that seems delayed or dead
A diagnosis that sounds final
A door that remains closed
But here is the truth: God is able. Not only able—but willing.
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…”
— Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
Nothing means nothing: no sin too great, no heart too broken, no mountain too high, no battle too fierce. God is still in the business of doing the impossible.
6. How Should We Respond?
Believe Boldly
Faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). Even if it’s small like a mustard seed, God can use it.
Pray Persistently
Don’t stop praying just because you haven’t seen the answer yet. Keep asking, seeking, and knocking (Matthew 7:7–8).
Trust Fully
Even when you don’t understand, trust in His perfect plan. God is never late, never early—always on time.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
Final Encouragement
The same God who opened Sarah’s womb, parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus, and calmed the storm is the same God you serve today. He hasn’t changed.
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
— Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
So hold on to His promises. Walk by faith. Expect the unexpected. For with God—truly, absolutely, undeniably—nothing shall be impossible.
