Do boomers do not realize how completely rude and disheartening it is to hear about how great the past is (this is misconstrued delusion based on illusions)

But seriously, it’s insulting to blame people for being born later than you for all the problems in the world, we were born into the world they created and it’s the only world we knew and learned in... and it’s a lie, a lie that they absolutely refuse to let go of, it’s one of the most damaging lies too because it treats everything as if only young people need to change their ways and if only we would stop being ourselves and if only would would give up everything we’ve ever known can we possibly be as good as them... it feels like people giving up on people just because they don’t understand us... we aren’t a generation with the most serial killers, we aren’t the generation forcing segregation, we aren’t the generation that shuns women for being abused, raped and harassed, we aren’t the generation that sends our teenagers away for getting pregnant, we aren’t the generation that puts our ego and reputation ahead of family, we aren’t the generation that started trickle down economics, we hate pollution and care about people, animals and the earth, we refuse to let people get away with hurting people with words or fists or lies, we don’t sit quietly as circuses abuse animals for entertainment, we don’t sit by as men beat their wives, we don’t sit quietly as rapists get away with it, we don’t sit quietly letting cops get away with murder, we aren’t the submissive generation that lets daddy government tell us weed is the worst thing ever while pumping us full of LSD for nazi scientist led experiments, we are the generation that puts our friends ahead of ourselves and stays up until 4am talking each other out of suicide because our boomer parents messed us up so bad we feel guilty for not being productive 15hrs a day... we care about more important things than working ourselves to death for scraps so some rich people can make millions off our labor, we don’t need diamonds and big houses and fancy cars because we care about the real things, we care about art and emotions and other people more than being the richest person on a boring picket fence neighborhood, we want our needs met and that’s all, the diamonds and status symbols and fake smiles and Jello molds and facades of smiling all day and crying ourselves to sleep at night don’t suit us, we want to be real and honest and want other people to be able to do the same, we have endured terrible things and don’t want to sit in front of the tv and watch the Brady family act out the most ridiculous fantasy life where toilets don’t even exist while the actors are doing drugs and the mom is committing statutory rape with her tv son behind the scenes, where Dorothy told people there’s no place like home and skipped along like a good little girl to be force fed cigarettes and drugs as a child by her own mother to lose weight, to be abused by adults who forced her to work... what a great world the past was
