The e-commerce industry is growing fast, and people take their businesses online. There are various things to do to take your business online. One of them is to create an online store with website builders like Shoplazza, WooCommerce, Squarespace, etc.

People often mistake Clover for an e-commerce website builder, but it is not. This article will compare Clover and Shoplazza and their features. I will talk about their differences and which one is the best option for you.

Overview

Shoplazza is a leading e-commerce website builder. It provides businesses with all the tools they need to operate an online store. It is a drag-and-drop website builder that offers a shopping cart SaaS system for brands of various types. It has recently announced the closing of its $150 million Series C1 financing.

Clover is a cloud-based point-of-sale platform established in April 2012. It is the largest cloud-based Point of Sale (POS) company that deals with online payments, offer payments, customer engagement, processing, team member management functions, etc. It managed up to $133 billion in card transactions in 2020.

Shoplazza vs. Clover: Examining Their Differences

Various features differentiate Shoplazza from Clover. Here are some of them:

1. Unified Inventory

Shoplazza allows you to manage your online store and inventory in a central place. Everything is in sync. As a result, running the business is a lot smoother since you can manage payments and run the store from one place.

Clover, on the other hand, only offers a payment function. You need a third-party app or site to manage your e-commerce store. This results in a disjunction between payment and the store’s day to day operations.

2. Flexible Gift Cards

On Shoplazza, you can sell digital and physical gift cards. You can also redeem them anywhere: in the store or online.

With Clover, you can only sell digital gift cards. Unlike Shoplazza, they can only be redeemed in-store. You cannot redeem them online.

3. Built-in E-Commerce Website

When you use Shoplazza, you can access an e-commerce website and a point of sale (POS).

On Clover, you only have a point of sale; there is no e-commerce. To use e-commerce, you need to pay for a third-party app, which could cost up to $29 per month.

4. Unlimited Registers

When you use Shoplazza POS, you will pay per retail location. This allows you to access an infinite number of registers.

However, with Clover as your POS, you get to pay more for each retail location. Clover does not provide the opportunity for unlimited registers.

5. E-Mails

Shoplazza allows you to collect customers’ e-mails, making it easy for you to develop customer relationships. You could also send purchase or appreciation e-mails.

This is not possible on Clover.

6. Pickup and Delivery

Shoplazza provides local shopping options. Customers can purchase a product online and then pick it up in person.

Clover does not have these shopping options.

Why Should You Choose Shoplazza Over Clover?

Here are a few reasons why Shoplazza is the better choice:

1. You Get to Improve Customer Relationships

Customers want to be treated well when they vist your store. Therefore, Shoplazza provides many features that allow you to sync your in-store experience with your online store. This way, you get to know your customers well. The e-mail feature is also essential to remind your customers that you remember them.

2. You Have Access to Data

All your business data would be available in one place. When the data is well sorted, you can make a reasonable decision. This way, you won’t have to spend more time analyzing data.

3. There is a Centralized Support

Shoplazza has a 24/7 support team to help you with any problems you may have. It is always nice to have someone to call when things get complicated.

Unfortunately, with Clover, you have to call your e-commerce provider and Clover customer care. While it might be effective, it takes longer to solve your issue.

Final Thoughts

Several features distinguish Shoplazza from Clover. Consider Shoplazza if you are thinking of venturing into the e-commerce industry. It saves you from stress by offering several functions that you won’t get elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a point-of-sale platform, then you can check out Clover. Their cloud-based service will make your life easier.
